"I'm tired," Beomgyu looked up at Soobin as he grumbled. The two walked down the stairs as they held onto their textbooks. "So am I, everything in class is so tiring." Soobin agreed, yawning.
"I just want to lay down and take a drink of cola." Beomgyu specified with his body language.
"That's such a you thing," Soobin rolled his eyes and giggled as the two made their way to the exit of the school.
The two walked and talked about their favorite things. Soobin was being quieter than usual today and something was off with his tone.
Beomgyu was quick and noticed almost instantly. "Bro, I know I sound like I'm intruding, but are you alright?" Beomgyu stopped walking and asked.
Soobin stopped in his tracks and looked at the worried boy across him. "I'm fine.. why?" Soobin looked into his eyes with confusion.
"It's just that you seem a bit different today, bro." Beomgyu placed his hand on Soobin's shoulder. "Everything's fine, Beomgyu. Thanks for worrying about me though." Soobin gave him a slight and reassuring smile.
But deep down he knew well how much he was hurting. How badly he needed someone. How alone he felt.
Soobin was a shy and tall boy who never socialized with anyone else, yet he managed to become friends with the class clown himself.
Beomgyu was the only other person who didn't think that Soobin was a freak.
To put it simply, Soobin was just a sad and innocent boy who just needed some love but he never got any.
Beomgyu always did his best to make him happy and feel like he's special but it didn't work.
Soobin was still lonely.
The pair then came to a stop in front of Beomgyu's house. "I'll see you on Monday." Beomgyu gave him a flashy smile before running off.
Soobin sighed sadly as he continued down the path to his house. As he quietly walked under the orange sun, he swore he could feel someone watching him.
He stopped and went under a tree, looking out at the horizon. On a small flower, he saw a soft pink butterfly. The creature gently batted its wings and flew across flowers.
Soobin closed his eyes and thought. That butterfly was honestly very beautiful. He then opened his eyes again, walking down the empty path to clear his mind off of the lonely life he had.
"I wish you were here, mom." Soobin looked up at the sky, tracing the cloud's shapes with his eyes.
The poor boy had lost his mother when he was fourteen. Ever since, he had to live off of the money his aunt made but recently the poor teenager got himself a job as a cashier to pay off the rent in his apartment.
His aunt didn't hate him or anything and she was more than willing to pay off his rent, but it was just making Soobin feel guiltier about his mother's death.
As Soobin reached his house, he heard faint chatter from behind him. He turned around to see that there were two butterflies flying away.
The same pink butterfly and a pure white butterfly.
Soobin shook his head. He often heard faint chattering around him. Maybe it was because of the trauma he experienced when he was younger.
That was one of the reasons he was bullied. It was because people thought he was insane for hearing such things.
Soobin then approached his door and took his keys out, unlocking the door in front of him. He stepped into the lonely little home he had.
After taking off his coat and shoes, he placed his bag and books down on the table and took his shoes off.
