"Whatever you do, never tell anyone about me, okay?" Kai placed his hand on the human boy's thumb, looking up at him with desperation.

"Nobody else can find out about me... Please." Kai looked down.

"If it makes you feel at ease, then I won't tell anyone else." Soobin gently spoke, lowering his face to look at Kai.

"Thank you." A slight smile curled up on Kai's face. The two stared at each other again.

It was very quiet.

Kai looked into those sad black crystals which were Soobin's eyes. He saw so much pain in his eyes.

So slowly, and so gently, he placed his tiny hand on the human's cheek.

"If you ever think that you're alone..." Kai began speaking.

"Just think about me, okay? Because.. deep down inside you're not alone. I'm here." Kai watched at Soobin closed his eyes, slightly nodding.

"Thank you, Huening Kai." Soobin gently fluttered his eyes open. A smile curled up across both of their faces as they quietly giggled.

"Do you want more cookies?" Soobin poked the fairy's cheek with his finger.

"Yes please!" Kai said in the most adorable and innocent tone.

Soobin felt as if his heart skipped a beat and soon enough, he felt his cheeks heating up.

"Here," he held a cookie up to Kai's mouth. The fairy opened his mouth, taking a huge bite out of the cookie.

Soobin let out a slight squeal, clapping his hands together at how adorable Kai was.

"I know I'm cute," he gave Soobin a cheeky smile, winking as he did so.

"Hush," Soobin smiled, tickling the top of Kai's head. The two spent so much time that night together that Soobin forgot about the time.

"I think it's time for me to go," Kai gently yawned.

"Y-yeah.." Soobin scratched the back of his head and looked down.

He checked the clock in his living room and saw that it was 1 in the morning and that he had school in the morning.

"Uh oh." He scratched his head. Kai caught onto what he was saying and sighed.

"Take me to your bedroom," Kai insisted. Soobin arched an eyebrow at the fairy but complied, holding the little boy close to him and walking into his bedroom.

"Lay down." The fairy instructed.

"Um... Okay." Soobin inhaled, getting on his bed as Kai fluttered close to him.

"Lay your head down and get comfortable." Kai gently spoke. Soobin nodded, complying to whatever the fairy wanted him to do.

"Are you comfortable?" Kai asked.

"Yeah.. I guess I am.. but why?" Soobin turned his head, looking at the small fairy boy.

"Close your eyes and think about something you love." Kai gently spoke.

"A-alright..." Soobin obeyed, gently shutting his eyes.

He then felt two little hands on his eyelids. He tried to open his eyes, but then a sudden and warm feeling washed over him.

The feeling was so good that he didn't need anything else but that.

Within a few seconds, he dozed off.

Kai got onto the pillow he was resting his head on and placed a gentle kiss on the human's forehead.

"Sweet dreams." Kai whispered before taking the form of a Rose Finch, a tiny little bird with pink feathers.

He flew out of the open window in Soobin's room and onto the tree next to the window in Soobin's room.

Kai let out a happy sigh, watching his love sleep peacefully under the moonlight.

As Kai watched him, he looked up into the sky.

A huge black Swan was flying around in circles on top of Soobin's house.

Kai squinted a bit until he realized who it was.

The Swan swooped down and swiftly took a place beside Kai on the branch.

"Good evening." Kai said, shifting a bit.

"It's a good night for a fly, isn't it?" The Swan spoke. "Yes, it is." Kai smiled to himself, turning back into his fairy form.

A dark purple
light came from the Swan as he too turned into his true form.

Black feathered wings, wearing all black, beautifully pale skin, deep purple eyes and the darkest crow-black hair  which swiftly fell across his face.

It was Jungkook, one of the fairy guards.

"I came here to get you," he grabbed Kai by the wrist, pulling him up and onto his back.

"Your folks are worried about you.. especially Taehyun." Jungkook looked down.

Unlike Taehyun, Jungkook didn't mind if Kai saw Soobin. But if Kai exposed anyone else in their species, it would be trouble for him.

"Why would he worry about me?" Kai crossed his arms and looked away.

"Now don't go saying that! You know how much he loves you.." Jungkook gave Kai a look of disappointment, smacking the back of the younger fairy's head.

"Jeez.. sorry." Kai looked up at him.

Jungkook wasn't like other fairies. Guard faires like him were a head taller than normal fairies and they were very strong.

Though Jungkook came off as intimidating, he always treated Kai like a little baby brother.

"Let's just get going. Taehyun's waiting for you to come back home." Jungkook ran his hand through the younger's hair and ruffled it, making Kai giggle.

The older fairy then spreaded his wings, getting ready to fly.

He then jumped off the branch, his wings beginning to flap in the cool night sky.

The pair then flew away into the night and back into the woods where all the fairies lived.

Once they reached Kai's home, Taehyun came busting from behind the door, tears streaking his face.

"Kai!" He called out, grabbing the younger boy and wrapping his arms around him in a tight hug.

Taehyun began sobbing into Kai's neck, running his hands up and down the younger fairy's back.

Out of guilt, Kai's eyes began to tear up and he started to cry too.

The two held each other and cried as Jungkook and Yeonjun quietly watched them.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" Taehyun pulled away, looking into Kai's eyes.

"It's not your fault, I'm so sorry," Kai pouted while crying.

"I was worried sick," Taehyun hugged him again. "Thank God that you're safe." He heard Kai's heart beating as they hugged.

"Gosh, you care too much.." Kai cupped Taehyun's face with his palms.

"That's because I love you, idiot!" Taehyun pouted, making Kai giggle.

The pair wiped each other's eyes and thanked Jungkook for his service.

"Come and rest, Kai. Maybe all three of us can cuddle too~" Yeonjun poked the younger's cheek as they headed inside their small wooden house.

Everything was fine between Kai and Taehyun now but Kai secretly wished that Soobin would have the same.

That was when Huening Kai realized how lonely Soobin truly was.
