Soobin was tired.

After spending all day outside with Beomgyu, he was worn out. Usually he wasn't like this but since he was very lonely and sad, he'd get more worn out easily.

The boy finally made it to his house and sighed, stretching his arms and yawning. He was very tired. He entered his small little house and looked at the time on the clock.

8 PM.

Shaking his head, he decided that it would be best to get some air from outside. Soobin walked over to his balcony and opened the door, stepping outside into the bright moonlight.

A cool breeze slowly ran through his hair, cooling him down since it was very hot in the daytime. Soobin ran a hand through his jet-black hair, inhaling the scent of the ocean which was near his home.

It was refreshing for a change.

As he opened his eyes, he saw a small butterfly batting its wings, flying in the moon. Soobin wondered why he was seeing do many butterflies.

As he observed it, the small creature came close.

Soobin froze as it gently landed on his hand. He blinked a few times before a gentle smile curled up on his face.

"Wow, look at you..." He gently spoke to himself. "Aren't you a darling..?" His smile grew as he lifted his hand, taking a closer look at the butterfly.

That's when soobin noticed something.

On the butterfly's wings were a heart-shaped pattern.

Soobin thought that it was probably some sort of weird butterfly species but what caught his eye was even weirder.

The hearts on the butterfly shimmered in pink just like glitter.

Soobin blinked again, looking behind him at his balcony door. He saw the glittery dust. It was the same shimmery glitter that was on the butterfly's wings.

As Soobin looked back at the butterfly, a glowing pink light came from it. Its wings started to glow pink and there was a pink mist around it.

Suddenly, the butterfly transformed into a fairy.

Soobin gasped out of fear and dropped the little guy from his hands but he began to flutter.

Soobin backed up and looked at the small fairy that was sitting on the rail of his balcony.

It was the same one he saved last night.

It was Huening Kai.

"O-oh.. wow." The fairy spoke. "I didn't mean to scare you like that.." he rubbed his head.

Soobin blinked again, slowly making his way towards the fairy in front of him.

"It's.. it's you." Soobin spoke under his breath, looking into the fairy's delicate eyes.

"Yeah, it's me." Kai spoke. "I wanted to see you again." The fairy looked up into Soobin's glittering eyes.

He saw pain in them. Kai wanted to be there for him.

"Why me..?" Soobin asked, scratching the back of his head.

"I'm just a sad and lonely guy.. I don't have any positive energy. And.. to have a majestic being like you come and visit me... It just doesn't add up." The boy rambled to himself.

Oh, if only Kai could tell him how much he meant to him.

"I'm not special, so why?" Soobin looked into Kai's eyes. He saw a galaxy full of hope in them.

"You're special. Everyone is." Kai gently spoke, fluttering towards him and into Soobin's palm.

"That's what I believe, anyway." He gave the boy a gentle smile, placing his small hands on the boy's thumb.

The sad and confused look on Soobin's face washed away as both of them stared into each other's eyes.

Soobin took that time to observe the fairy a bit more.

His beautiful and glittery pink wings and how they gently batted.. his fluffy raven-black hair and his gently blushed cheeks.

Everything about this fairy named Huening Kai was so peaceful and beautiful.

Without realizing, Soobin used his other thumb and gently rubbed the fairy's cheek.

Kai closed his eyes, nuzzling into the warmth of the human. He gave Soobin a patient and gentle smile.

In his smile, Soobin saw absolutely nothing dark in it.

So much purity and bliss.

There was no trace of remorse in that smile.

Soobin's heart felt at ease. Maybe he'd just sleep well tonight.

The moment was so slow and sensational that both of them got so lost.

Suddenly, reality hit him.

What was he going to ask the fairy? How did he know his name last night. Soobin stopped and looked down.

"S-sorry. I wasn't thinking." Soobin mumbled.

"It's alright." Kai stood up and looked at him.

"Do you want to come inside? It'll get cold out here.." Soobin gave him a smile.

"Of course, if you'd let me." Kai smiled brightly, his small teeth showing.

♡♡♡

Soobin was sitting down at his table, watching Huening Kai munch down on some more cookies.

He found himself fawning over how the little fairy would eat in the most adorable way.

Once Kai was done, Soobin gathered up the courage to ask him some questions.

"So.. about last night." Soobin began. "How do you know my name...?" He looked at the innocence which was sitting in front of him.

"Ah.. um..." Kai looked down.

He didn't just wanna tell Soobin that he's been watching him his entire life and fell for him. That would be a lot to take in.

"One day I was just uh.. passing by... And I heard your name." Kai quickly lied.

"Oh.. really?" Soobin looked at him.

Normally, people would forget random names that they heard but maybe faires remembered better than humans did.

Soobin wanted to know more but that was enough for him to know that fairies were real since he had one right in front of him.

"So.. do you have any powers or stuff?" Soobin randomly asked.

"That's a secret," Kai looked at him and gave him a cheeky smile.

Perhaps Soobin was asking too much.

"Oh.. right. Sorry." The boy chewed on his lower lip, awkwardly looking away in embarrassment for asking in the first place.

"Don't worry, if I was a human my whole life and I met a fairy, I'd be asking the same." Kai laughed, making Soobin feel a little less lonely.

The two giggled together, feeling the moment.

Maybe, just maybe, Soobin wanted to see the fairy just a bit more.
