A/N: For some reason this chapter was really difficult to write. It's just sort of a filler but I wanted to get it right but who knows what it's ended up as.

An afternoon round Max's quickly turned into an evening round Max's as the boy's couldn't get out of practice early. So, although a few hours late, it was still really nice to just be sat, eating pizza and chatting to everybody as the evening drew in.

There were a few others here that I didn't recognise but other than that it was the usual, oh and Nora was coming, she was just a little late.

Actually wait, is that her little hand I can see trying to unlock the back gate? She can't reach it and I start laughing pointing over in the direction as Jayden, and the girls look at me in confusion.

It was such a nice evening out, i wasn't even cold yet.  Max had music playing and some of his family were here too, the atmosphere was so just chill that i am definitely going to try and convince everyone that Max has the best place for group meet ups. i hate Jayden's.

Nora's hand waves over the gate again and draws my attention back to the present.  Laughing again  I jump off the picnic table  and unlock the door for her.

"Hey." I say grinning, I really missed her when she didn't hang out with us much, she was staying busy with school and so I hadn't seen her since Monday.

I know it was only Friday but it felt like a long time.

"Hi." She says and pulls her denim skirt lower a little bit, it having climbed as she tried her very best to reach the lock. "You look nice, I like your jacket." She smiles and I return the compliment.

I was wearing a simple white dress with little black polka dots on it, with a brown cropped denim jacket over the top. It was casual enough for this evening but still looked like I dressed up a little.

We walk back over to the group and she goes straight over to Max and gives him his birthday things. He was treated by all of us and he wasn't even pretending to be gracious, he was so damn excited when he got a present and both Lucy and I would make eye contact and laugh with each new present he opened.

It was his birthday today, but we were all going out Saturday to celebrate properly. Apparently, there was a jungle theme or something at the local club, I had no idea what that meant but spending time with everyone was always fun, plus, this time there would be loads of us and I very much doubt i'd be left on my own.

Jackson hadn't talked to me all evening but he kept checking up on me with his eyes and so did I. I don't think we could even help it. Or stop.

It was just normal now; to exchange glances and very little words.

Jackson was sat with Luca and Max at the next table, they were all laughing at something and Jackson actually had a smile on his face.

It didn't seem too fake, but you could see he was trying really really hard to be present.
