hi there's a storm rn and i'm projecting very heavily onto misto in hopes of calming myself down. (really it's just me in the story lol)
you really don't have to read this lmao (but gets kinda cute)

misto pov
a very loud rumble from the sky wakes me up. i quickly figure out what's happening. there's a thunderstorm.

i take a deep breath and try not to let it get to my head. i snuggle back down into the blankets beside a sleeping tugger. tigger's bounth—

another muffled rumble. i find myself clinging to tugger. he wakes up and realizes what's happening.

"hey, it's okay. they're just noises sweetheart," he coos. we've done this before, so he kind of knows what to do.

by now, i'm shaking so hard i might cause an earthquake.

tugger sits up and rests against the headboard. i climb up beside him, letting his arms find their way around me.

the rain on the roof is getting louder and louder, and i don't know how to handle it. i try to bury myself into tugger's chest, but i can still hear it.

"baby," he says, "listen to me. you're safe. i got you. i'll protect you, okay?"

i nod, still shaking and definitely panicking, but slightly more calm.

tugger gives me his pillow, and i cling to it like it's life. i bring my legs up to my chest, and bury my nose into the pillow. i subconsciously start rocking back and forth. this is something i do, please don't @ me

"it's okay, sweetheart. it's all gonna be okay."

"i know, it's just, it's not right now, and i want it to be."

"yeah, i know honey." he presses a gentle kiss to my forehead. "do you want some water?"

"please don't leave me alone."
"you were all i could truuust" sorry

"okay. i'll always be here for you, always." he says, letting me put my head on his chest.

i rest there for a moment, then i ask him "will you tell me a story?"

"what kind of story, baby?"

"like a fairytale or something. i just want to focus on your voice."

tugger starts telling me the story of the little red riding hood. i've always liked that one.

i manage to block the storm out by noticing certain ways he says different consonants.

he only got to the part where the little girl gives her cape to the baker when i fall asleep. that's an into the woods reference

when i wake up for the second time, i peek nervously at the window. there's a pretty little ray of sunshine coming in.

hi this is pretty unedited and terrible, and i barely consider it a chapter, but have fun with that insight into my irrational fears (others include: spiders, bugs, sea creatures, and lots more)
