Everything I wanted her to know.

The Festival And More.

It was finally the day of the festival. I had awaited a long time for this. I would finally get to meet Natasha after such a long time. I was really excited that day and looking forward to it. The weather was clear which made me happy as the festival would not get cancelled and there will the beautiful fireworks display that I had been awaiting for. But most of all I would get to talk to Natasha face to face. I just couldn't hold my emotions then. I tried to call Natasha, but she did not pick it up. I assumed that she was probably getting ready so I just ignored that fact.

I called Ryan and told him that I was about to go to the festival. He said that he too was on his way there. Ryan was the first one to reach there along with Claudia and his girlfriend Jane. I knew her name as Ryan had spent a long time explaining the last time we met about her. Claudia seemed to be fine with Jane and they seemed close. Then we waited for about 10 minutes and Evangeline arrived.

We were waiting for Natasha when I got a message from her. It read, "Sorry. But I won't be able to make it today. I wanted to come there with you, but the circumstances seem to be not in my favor. I am sorry that I could not make it there although I was the one who made you organize it in the first place. Anyways, tell everyone that I won't be able to make it there and have fun. "

She had not mentioned anything about why she could not make it there and I was really curious about it. But I did not want to invade her privacy. So, I just let it be. I told the others about it and they seemed a bit upset about it too. Later on, Claudia said, "Come on now. She must have her reasons. So, just forget about it and lets have fun. "

While we were going around the fair, we were in a single group but in two divisions. Claudia, Ryan and Jane were moving ahead while Evangeline and I were slowly walking behind them. During the stroll, I talked with Evangeline about her hobbies and interest and I shared about mine too. She was really fun to talk to. It was a great time. After a while, we came across a game stall. The game was simple. All I had to do was make two rings fall into the prize I wanted. 

Evangeline said that she really wanted a small teddy bear key chain that was among the prizes. She attempted to get the prize, but could not. So, I stood up as a gentleman and gave it a go. It was surprisingly difficult due to the awkward positioning of a plant above the toy. I finally got it in my second attempt. In the second attempt, the first ring missed and the other two rings barely made it. After I won the prize, I gave it to Evangeline. She initially denied to take it. But as I kept on insisting her to take it, she agreed. She seemed happy after getting the key chain

During our stroll, we came across many fun games. Some of them were easy while the others were hard. The food stalls were also cheap although we had to wait in a very long queue to get the food. But the food was worth the wait due to its delicious taste. The stroll went in the same way. It was fun. At around the end of our stroll, we came across a gift shop. The shop sold lockets for cheap and there was a buy one get one free offer. So, all of us decided to have a look. Claudia bought both the lockets for herself and Evangeline bought one for herself and the other for her little sister. Ryan bought the lockets and took one for himself and gave the other to Jane.

After seeing Ryan and Jane, I wanted to buy one for myself and Natasha too. So, I went through the lockets and found a pair that caught my eye. It was a locket of a phoenix. One of the lockets was silvery while the other was black. It seemed to go hand in hand and complementary to each other. After that we went to see the fireworks. It was quite crowded but we were lucky and reached to a good spot. It was not too far away form the fireworks site and it was not too crowdy as well. The fireworks display was really fun and beautiful. But I was a bit sad as Natasha was not here besides me. If she was here with me, it would have been a truly magical moment. 

After the fireworks ended, we all went home. It was a fun day. Later that day, I called Natasha and she finally picked up. She said that the small issue was resolved and that I did not have to worry about anything. I was a bit tired today and went to sleep early.

The next day, I woke up late. When I looked at my phone, I noticed that I had 7 missed calls. It was from Claudia. Assuming that it was something urgent, I called her immediately. She picked up the phone. I asked, "Hey Claudia. Why did you call me? Is it something important? "

She said, "Well, the thing is. Natasha is admitted to hospital. I came to know about it when I called at her home yesterday and her mom picked it up. Her condition seems severe. Right now she is undergoing check up and I am standing outside her room waiting for the doctor to come out. Come here quick. "

"Where ?", I asked.

She replied, "Central City Medical Hospital."

I ended the phone call immediately and decided to go there immediately. I ran throughout the way and finally reached there. I was sweaty and breathless. I asked the help desk and found the room she was admitted in.

I reached the room and found Claudia standing outside the door. The doctor was inside the room talking with Natasha's parents. The atmosphere in the room seemed tense. After the doctor came out of the room, Claudia and I entered the room. Natasha was unconscious at the moment and we were waiting for her to wake up.
