Chapter 4

Cameron's POV

"Cam, our half brother is staying with us maybe 2-3 weeks." Brad says munching a chocolate bar.

"What!? Why?" I asked totally shock with this current situation. I always hated my half brother. Not just because his mother is different from ours but its because of his attitude, his wrong doings.

"I don't know. Ask him." Brad scoffed and closes his bedroom door.

I never want to hear my half brother's name, ever. One time he told me, he dumped a girl. Right in the spot.

It's because he was just playing the girl, for money. I don't really know the whole story but somehow it conspire me.

The ones bothering me with his problem is that I don't know the name of the girl.

He never told me.

I need to think. To think about this whole situation. I know the exact place where to think. To be alone...

The Bay.

*

I use Brad's car since my parents haven't really bought me my own car.

I reach the bay and the sea breeze embracing me. It only got 5-10 people in it. Mostly couples.

The bay is really far from town, maybe that's why it doesn't really get too much crowded and its the perfect place to be alone. Escaping our ruthless reality.

I sit down on one of the benches, adjusting my glasses. I face the sea, as the waves go back and forth.

I face the sky, then the sea again. Slowly closing my eyes, entering the world of fantasy.

I enter the world of darkness, the only thing I see is black. The sounds of the waves crashing on the sand is only the sound that is audible to hear. Including the wind.

I breathe deep, scanning the whole place. When I travel my eyes down the benches, there I saw a girl, with brown hair, cherry lips..

Amanda.

I stood up, walking towards her. Hands in my pocket, to keep me warm.

"Hey." I greeted sitting beside her. She smiles and faced the beach once again.

"Why are you here?" She asks without facing me.

"Some bonding time with Cameron." I joke and she laughs.

"Well, same thing here."

It is awkward. Nobody's even talking.

Right on the cue, little droplets drop down my nose making me look into the sky.

Its starting to drizzle, it gets more and more faster.

"Oh my gosh. We gotta go Cam." Amanda says and I totally blush with the nickname. I nod and followed her.

*

We reach our cars and good thing there is a little roof in the parking lot.

"Cam, do you wanna go to my house? You know since it's really cold here." She asks as her hair sways.

"Uh, I don't know. I have a car, I can go back to my house anytime." I reply sounding nervous.

"Cmon! I know you have a little problem at home. We'll just hang out a bit." She flashes me a smile. A smile you can't resist.
