Sasha's POV
I move out and I almost trip at the beautiful sight of Dr. Grayson leaning against a black sedan with a casual unflappable poise. Steams of sunlight bounce off his skin. He looks even hotter, in a casual dark-grey cardigan, sleeves pulled to the mid of his forearm and a white T-shirt under it. That pair of jeans that hug his body so perfectly looks so fine on him.
He smiles as I approach him and his teeth shine like the rest of him. He is no Edward Cullen, but damn, this man sparkles in the sun.
"Hey." He says getting me out of my daydream land.
"Hi, what are you doing here?" I ask trying to hide my excitement.
"I couldn't handle lunch alone, I thought you could help. Have you eaten?" He says, taking me by surprise. Is he asking me out? On a date?
Idiot, he made it so clear that he wants your company.
"Yeah.... Uh, no I mean. Not yet." I try to sound casual.
"Great." He smiles as he opens the door for me to enter.
He gives us a quick ride to an ominous building that looks rather out of place next to some older skyscrapers. It is all glass, sleek and modern. I look back up at it and in front of it, a name is written in Bold golden capital letters 'THE LOTTE TRIPPLE. ' Ethan and I walk in . The interior is just as extravagant as the exterior. This is one of the big restaurants in town. I breathe in deeply as I continue to study it. Stark white tiles on the floor, glass reception desk, and..... Glass chairs?
"A reservation under the names Ethan Grayson." Ethan says to the host and my jaw goes a bit slack. He made a reservation? For me? And him? I also just register that he is not in his usual work clothes, he is just casual today.
"You didn't work today?" I ask .
"No, I got a day off." He replies casually.
"Any occasion?" I don't know why I can't believe he is doing this just for us. I have a feeling he is doing it for some reason.
"It can be a congratulations meal of all the hard work you've put in the last few weeks." He says quietly as he smiles at me.
My mind immediately goes back over all the meetings, interviews, exhausting trips and sleepless nights that were. Involved in those days. It all felt unbearable, but seem laughable right now.
But wait a minute. I never told him about this, of how I finished the project, of where I work from. If you come to think of it, neither did I tell him that I was at the Morgan constructions today. Wait just a damn minute. Did he.... Does he... Is he stalking me?
As the host directs us to the reservation, a table in the private side room of the restaurant, Ethan suddenly whips to the back, like someone has called his name. I see him smile and I turn. Two familiar faces catch my attention. I see Derrick approach us as his smile grows wider.
"Tan, long time no see man!" He gives Ethan a brief men hug, tapping on his back a few times.
"Sasha." Sydrah calls out in disbelieve.
"You know Sasha?" Derrick asks as he turns and notices me too.
"Yeah! We are next door neighbors at my apartment building." She explains and I smile awkwardly at both of them. Mean while, our host is standing there blankly waiting for us to get done.
Ethan invites them to join us for lunch which Derrick excitedly accepts. The host sits us in a room where two additional chairs are added on the reservation.
