chapter seven

AUDREY FREEMAN

"I'd like to purchase some of your finest beer, please," Billy said as he lowered his voice like a grown-up man. The cashier looked at him in boring look and Billy smiled, the cashier looked at him up and down and she just gestured the beverages section which the beer was, without saying anything.

Billy nodded and walked away leaving us awkwardly standing, the cashier looked at us as we looked back at her before following Billy to the beverages section.

We made our way over the beverages section and notice that there are many varieties of alcohol in there. "I don't know about this," Freddy confessed. "I mean, we don't have a fake I.D."

I scoff and nodded, "Yeah there are so many ways to spend Seventy-three bucks!" I exclaimed as I pointed on the chips section. "We're underage, you know?"

"Freddy, Audrey, would you two relax? Look at me, I am the fake I.D," Billy said. We thought about it and we're like 'yeah, he looks older, he can buy anything he wants.' as we let a small laugh and smiled at Billy.

"Everything from the register! Go! Go! Now!" a voice shouts then a scream followed. We turned and our eyes widened as Billy pulled us behind of the displays.

We watched as the two men in black masks held guns at the cashier as they try to rob the store. I nervously looked at my shoes and held my brother's hand. "This is your chance," I heard my brother whispered to Billy.

"Oh, right. Okay, okay," Billy said before he walked in and interrupts the robbery. We started to walk on Billy's side and towards the robbers.

"Gentlemen, why use guns when we can handle this like real men?" Billy said as the robbers' attention gained on Billy.

One of the robbers pointed his gun at Billy as he quickly stole it from the man's hand. I smiled but quickly faded as the other guy pointed his gun to Billy.

"Billy, look out!" I shout but the man already pulled the trigger, Billy bent forward as the bullet hit him in the chest. My head leaned on Freddy's shoulder, not wanting to watch the scene.

I heard a clanging sound as I looked at down and I see the bullet falling to the ground, Freddy and I stared at the bullet on shocked expression as we looked at Billy who gently stands.

"Bullet immunity!" Freddy exclaimed in amaze, "You have bullet immunity!"

"I'm bulletproof," He mumbled in disbelief.
