Liam's hand traces its way up and down my cheekbone making my eyelashes flutter open to greet the new day.

"Good morning, love." He smiles at me not knowing that he made my heart flutter around in my chest.

"Did you sleep alright?" I ask snuggling back into my blanket wishing I could just stay here all day long.

"Just fine, thanks." He pecks me gently on the lips before crawling out of bed. So much for staying here.....

He starts putting back on his jeans from last night, "Do you really have to go?" I climb out of the covers and over to him, "I don't think management could do this," I lock my lips to his and intertwine my arms around his neck.

He turns a deep shade of  red, "Erm no, I don't think they could, but I promised I would be there, and after missing so much of the other stuff I don't want to just skip out on them."

I pull my lips into a pout hoping he would change his mind after all.

"Oh c'mon Emily, you're not five; the puppy dog face isn't gonna work."

"Well it could, if you fell for it."

He chuckles lightly under his breath before grabbing his coat from the foot of the bed, "I promise when I get home we'll have a proper date." His warm lips press against my forehead as he swiftly walks out the door and down the stairs.

"Have a great day," I snarl as I hear him slam the door downstairs.

So, I guess this means I actually have to get up. I take in a deep breath, letting it out with a sigh.

"I was in love you know." That was a familiar voice. It belonged to somebody I just royally ticked off.

"Maddie, I'm so sorry."

"-No," She cuts me off, "Let me talk."

I had never seen her so serious. It was like my words created a whole new person... I didn't like it.

"His name was Daniel Rider. He had straight caramel hair and one blue and one green eye-I know it sounds weird, but it worked. He owned it. Daniel would look at me, and as soon as his eyes hit  mine I knew that he felt the same for me as I did with him, but I didn't ever have the guts to tell him."

That doesn't sound like the Maddie I know. She's fearless.

"I was out late, drinking and partying, when I get the bright idea to tell him how I feel. I grab the keys and flick my red SUV into life, and of course I was way to drunk to even see straight,"

She pauses to compose her shaking voice.

"I kept swerving in and out of lanes until eventually I ran right off the side of the road, and I hit a tree so hard that it heaved under it's weight and knocked down on top of me. I died on impact. I never got to say, 'Daniel, do you want to do something this Friday?' or, 'Hey Daniel, you did great in the soccer game last Thursday.' It didn't seem fair, but I realized the second I heard your story that you were the reason I died at such an early age. I came to help you, and I'm sorry that you didn't like how I did it, but it was all in good intentions."

I sit there my legs crossed together and stare at her. Just staring. Comprehending.

"I'm done now," She laughs quietly, "So, are we alright? Because, I really like being here with you."

I uncross my legs and walk over to where she was standing on the other side of the room, "Yeah Maddie. We're all good."

She wraps me in a hug and then picks back up in her normal tone, "I was watching your date with Liam," He pink lips curl into a smile, "Well, the first half..."

I'm assuming my cheeks started glowing a nice crimson color because Maddie starts laughing.

"He knows, you know."

I look at her like she was crazy. Because let's face it, what the hell is she going on about?

"What? He put the pieces together himself. I promise."

"That's not it," I sigh falling back onto the bed, "I just kind of liked being with Liam as Emily.... We had that new relationship kind of love. The one where you could just see each other every hour of every day and never get tired.... I dunno... It's stupid."

Maddie walks over and lays beside my outstretched body, "Sorry, but that is stupid."

How come that response didn't surprise me?

"He loves you like that whether you're Megan or Emily. Don't you see? He doesn't care what you look like. He only cares that he's with you and your happy."

"Sometimes, I love my guardian angel." I smile hopping up off the bed, finally ready to kick this day off after 2 hours of patiently waiting.

"She loves you too," Maddie smiles dissappearing all together from the room we were both in.

So, I guess that our conversation was over?

I tap on my ipod a few times until I get to the song I wanted, 'The Lucky One' by Taylor Swift. I begin dancing like an idiot while getting dressed.

I pull on a simple pair of jeans and one of the many white blouses hanging in my closet. It was simple, yet, I liked it. Even my hair was doing the right thing. I dunno, maybe today will be good after all.

I skip down the stairs and slide into my kitchen and begin digging through my cupboards for something to eat.

It had food, but nothing I felt up to eating.

"Aww darn," I smile back to myself swinging open the door of the closet beneath my stairs, "Guess I'll just have to go out."

I grab my jacket and rush out the door while it's only half on.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I start walking down the street, still too afraid to drive.

"Hey Emily!" A familiar voice screams from behind me.

"Ansley," I turn around and wait for her to catch up Jessi tagging on her heels.

"This is our friend Ansley. I figured you'd want to meet her, cause her and Zayn are the only ones you haven't gotten to know yet."

I flash a smile towards Jessi before continuing with Ansley, "So, where are you guys going?"

"A new Chinese place opened up down the block, and we were going down the block to grab something to eat. Want to join?"

"I'd love to, but Liam's suppossed to be taking me out once he gets out of recording."

"Awwwww," Jessi coos, sporting a flashy ring around on her left hand-wait? When did that happen?, "I remember when Zayn and I  were a new couple, and did all those new relationship things."

Ansley joins in the laughing, "Me too. It was so passionate. I miss it."

The last sentence dragged on in a whine.

"You don't have to eat alot. Just get something small. C'mon..." She's practically pleading, "The food's really good." She nudges me a couple times before I finally agree.

"Fine, fine. I'll go, but we have to get home before the boys are done in the studio."

"Deal." Jessi grins, pulling us towards the resturaunt.
