Thanks for all the support from my best friends through the period of writer's block, and the chapters that were left unfinished. I love you guys, and I wouldn't have finished this if it weren't for you. You guys are perfect. <3

-----------------------------------------------------------

Ansley and Jessi dropped me off at my apartment with an hour to spare before Liam comes knocking.

"You look great, love." He smiles kissing me on the cheek.

I hadn't changed out of the outfit I was in earlier, so I'm glad he thought so.

"So, where are we going?" I ask grabbing my coat.

"We're gonna go home, Emily."

"Home? This is my home."  I didn't believe Maddie when she said that he knew. I should've, I would have had more time to brace myself. Now, it came as a complete shock and I was afraid. Afraid of what? I'm not sure... but, there was still fear brewing in the bottom of my stomach.

"You know good and well what I'm talking about, Megan."

I shake my head, in denial, "Stop it. I-I'm Emily."

He hooks onto my wrist pulling me towards him in a harsh way, but I could tell he was hurt.

His brown eyes glassed over, "Why are you doing this?"

"I don't want it to end. I don't want to wake up and have everything be different again,

The tears came to rapidly for him to wipe them away, or maybe he just didn't want to.

"So, you don't want to be with me?"

"No! I love you! I've just been fighting to get my old life back. I don't want it anymore.... I want you, just, I want to start over."

His grip loosens on my arm and he becomes tender, warm. I feel his rough hands brush my chestnut hair away from my face, and that moment seemed to move in slow motion.

He leans into kiss me. Starting off slow, than gradually getting fiercer.

"Sex isn't gonna fix everything, Liam!" I scream dodging away from his lips.

"Then you fix it."

His words cut like a knife, but I couldn't let him know that.

"I can't." I sob dropping to my knees.

I hear him squat down to my level, "Come take a walk with me?"

My head shakes from left to right.

"You can't just do this, Liam," I yell loud enough for my neighbors to hear, "You can't scream at me and then want me to be all tender and lovey with you!'

"Okay, than will you please shut up and listen to me before you go all ape shit again?" He screams right back.

"I love you. I love you to the moon and back. I love you so much, I just can't even begin to describe it, and when you died, a part of me died, but you're back, and you don't want to admit it to me? I don't understand it."

He was right, as much as I hate to admit it.

"I love you." Was all I could spit out, because I think that's what made me go so crazy.

"And you know I love you too," He pulls my body to be close to his, and gently kisses my hair.

"Maddie or Emily?" I ask breathing in the scent of his cologne. It was woodsy with a twinge of sweet.  I could never get tired of that aroma.

"I think they're both pretty darn great." He smiles wiping away the last of my tears.

I hear alot of clangs and crashes, but Liam seems unphased so it must be Maddie. What could have gotten into her?

"Can you excuse me real quick?"

I get half way up the stairs, "Do you want me to come with you?" Liam calls from below.

"No, I got," I smile starting back up the stairs again.

"Maddie!" I whisper yell, so Liam doesn't think I'm crazy, "What are you doing? Are you insane?"

She turns around with glistening tears dotting the corner of her eyes, "You don't get it."

"Don't get what?"

"I have to leave. He called you Megan. He said flat out, 'he knew it was you,' My job here is done. I'm being sent back to heaven to be somebody else's guardian angel."

It took a couple of minutes for the words to set foot in my brain, "You have to go?"

My voice broke from the fresh tears forming inside my eyelids.

"Yes, and I won't be able to ever talk to you again. I don't want somebody new! I want to stay with you. Your the only person who actually wanted my help. Who talked to me. Who expected a sassy remark, and pretended you didn't care."

I shake my head, so, I get Liam, but Maddie has to leave.

"Are you sure?" I ask, already knowing the answer.

She slowly nods her head, and I wrap my arms around her, though she was almost a foot taller than me.

"You're gonna be able to help whoever you're assigned to," I start, "You're gonna do great,"

"You don't understand who it is though. It's Daniel. Daniel Rider."

"No! Maddie! That's perfect! Don't you see? You finally have a chance to talk to him."

She wipes her cheeks with the back of her arm, "You're right."

"Emily? Are you alright?" Liam calls from downstairs.

"Uh yeah, just give me five more minutes." I call back, before turning towards a now empty room.

She's gone? Just like that? She didn't want to say bye?

I make my way downstairs, and Liam automatically looks up.

"What was all that about?"

"Nothing, I'm fine, we're fine."

He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him, "Good."

He kisses me gently, and the second I open my eyes I see Maddie standing in the kitchen.

"Bye," she mouths having her hand.

"I'll miss you," I mouth back as she blows a kiss and dissappears for the last time.

"So, how about that proper date, now?"

I shake my head, "No, I think we should stay here."

I'm pretty sure he caught my drift, because he lifts me up bridal style and carries me up the stairs.

"You're perfect you know," I smile locking my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist.

"Nobody compares to you," He pushes us over to the wall and begins kissing me passionately.
