The late dusk moon hung low in the sky, stars lightly splattered through the milky blue galaxy. The four young men started to discuss their plan, slowly getting more and more used to each other as they talked. Slowly but surely, each one started to order a drink, then another drink, then another drink, until they were all standing ontop of one of the many tables in the bar singing a mix of sailing songs and pub melodies. eventually, sero had enough brainpower left to kick everyone but them out, closing the doors and locking them before passing out cold on the wooden floor. Soon after they all passed out, the sun started to rise on the horizon, turning the dark trees back to their green state, their leaves shining brilliantly in the bright golden sunlight.
The four started to hazily wake up, their eyelids heavy like weights against their eyes. Sero groaned, trying to get himself off the dirty wooden floor. Bakugo lifted his head up from the piano, red rectangles on his forehead from the keys. Kirishima dropped down from on of the ceiling supports, rubbing his head. Kaminari ran in from a seperate room, looking like he had been awake for hours. "Oh, hey guys!" He brought in a couple glasses of water, placing them on the counter and sitting on a creaky stool.
The others walked over at their own pace, grabbing a glass and drinking it, praying their earsplitting headaches would go away. "What are you doing up so early?" Kirishima rubbed his head, grabbing another glass of water and downing it. Kaminari just smirked. "You see, I drink that stuff 24/7" he frowned a little. "Well I did." They all looked at each other and shrugged, standing up. Bakugo brushed himself off, pulling his cape off of the chandelier and clipping it back on. "I say we start moving." Sero rubbed his head.
"Why are we in such a hurry?" He said. Kirishima didn't argue, just getting up to stretch and walking to the door. "Because I want to get there and break in as soon as bloody possible." They all mumbled in agreement, putting their clothes back on and drinking a few extra glasses of water before walking out of the tavern. Sero put up his closed sign, locking the door and putting the keys in his pocket and patting it multiple times to make sure it was there before leaving.
They walked down a small gravel path, causing a commotion and earning stares from other travelers that passed them. They continued reeling down the long path, eventually making it to a thick bog, which kaminari put his sword into, saying it was too deep to wade through or pass without a boat. They all stared out at the bog, looking around and noticing a small boat shop, with a small wooden sign that had 'froppy boat rental' painted on a piece of rotted wood in green paint. They all looked at each other, shrugging and walking over, knocking on the small wooden door.
A small girl with long green hair answered the door, looking up at the group. "Ribbit, how can I help you?" Kirishima smiled down at the girl. "We were hoping to rent a boat to travel across the bog?" He motioned to the large expanse of murky green water, lilypads and other greenery sitting on-top of the peaceful waters. She nodded, stepping back inside the small shop and grabbing a small set of keys, before stepping back out and motioning for the group to follow her behind the shop, where a small fishing boat sat on the softly lapping water, small fish feeding on the algae underneath the boats hull. Bakugo crosses his eyes and rose an eyebrow skeptically at the boat, and sero and Kirishima just smiled at each other.
"That's 200 gold shillings kyo~" they all looked to her, bewildered expressions on their faces. Sero freaked out, pulling out a pouch of coins. "I only brought around 150.." he looked disappointed, and kaminari just looked at the little girl. "Is there anything else we could do for you as payment?" The girl tapped her chin and thought, nodding and handing bakugo the keys before grabbing Kaminari's sleeve. "Come help me move some boxes" he nodded, looking back to his companions. "I'll be right back!" He walked into the shop with the girl, letting the three of them climb onto the boat and start it.
They looked around at their surroundings, talking about travel plans when Kirishima saw a bee, moving his body away from it, his tail hitting the lever that moved the boat. The boat flew forward, sending sero who was near the back flying over the back and into the thick swamp water. He spit out the water, wiping his face and laughing as he saw Bakugo and Kirishima holding onto the boat as it drove all through the swamp. Kaminari walked out and wiped his hands on his blazer, glancing up and seeing as bakugo and Kirishima tried to control the boat, yelling at each other. "Shitty hair! Do you realize what you've done!?" Kirishima held onto one of the metal rods on the boat, trying to yell over the wind in his ears.
"What?!" Bakugo rolled his eyes and growled at him. "You left the one person that can steer a ship on the shore!!" Kirishima blinked, nervously laughing. "I'm very aware of that your highness!" they kept pulling on the wheel, sending them steering every which way. Kaminari tried to yell directions, but bakugo just yelled at him. "DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO DUNCEFACE!" the small girl came and stood next to kaminari, raising a brow at him. He looked down to her.
"You have insurance right?" She shrugged and he blew, watching the boat barreling towards the shore. But for some reason when the boat was about to crash into the shore, the boat was surrounded in a pink glow, and started to float out of the water. A girl stood in front of the boat with a staff, smiling and wiping the sweat off her forehead with her free hand. "That was a close one!"
