The moon hung in the dark sky, stars speckled all over in an random fashion, providing the kingdom below with a natural night light. Knights walked the walls of the brilliant castle, the only lights from the village being ones that belonged to bars or small pubs. Kaminari sat on the prison bed, shaking from the intense cold that gripped him. He shuddered, standing up and unbuttoning his blazer, peeking out of the metal bars and peering down the hall before scrambling to the barred window. He pulled a small pocket knife from the inside of his blazer. He started sawing away at the metal, the sound causing the prisoner that was in bed opposite of his to stir.
He winced, biting his lip and trying to be quiet. He continued hacking away at the metal to no avail, kicking the wall in frustration. "Stupid fucking dragons with their special metal-" he heard a snort and turned back to see a knight with Grey hair and yellow eyelashes. He had a pointy toothed grin, and he was leaning lazily against the cell door.."you know that's not special metal, it's just that you usually can't saw through metal bar-" the pirate shot a glance at him. "Did I ask?" The guard threw his hands up in innocence, turning away "yeesh someone's in a bad mood." Kaminari flopped down on his rock-hard bed, groaning at the soreness of his body. He was expecting it though, altering being thrown into the ground like a sack of potatoes all day. His head shot up as he heard a familiar female voice. His spirits immediately lifting from the glum. The woman stood in a nobles dress, her pink skin looking like silk curtains in the dim candle-lit dungeons. She was telling the guard she was a visitor for the thief, batting her eyes lashes and smiling sweetly a him.
The knight nodded, his chiseled face covered in a thick red hues he turned around, glaring at kaminari in the cobblestone cell, cobwebs littered around and dust bunnies under the beds, small holes in the furniture from the rats. "Don't get any smart ideas" he walked away, and Mina giggled, putting her palms on the bars and whisper yelling, her voice filled with excitement. "Heya captain!" He smiled brightly, walking over to the bars and hugging her through them. "It's so great to see my first mate-" he cut himself off, pulling back and raising a brow at her, whispering quickly. "Why are you here?" She simply smirked, lifting up her dress and pulling a lock pick out from her pants pocket, showing off her expertise. "Im busting you out captain" he nodded and smiled, rushing back over the lock, which Mina fumbled with, biting her lip in concentration. even though it was extremely cold, sweat streamed down their faces, eyes darting around. A short time later, crashing and yelling was heard from the hall, and Mina cussed, stepping away and pulling up her fluffy dress, putting the lock pick in her pocket once again.
Kaminari sighed, his shoulders slumping in disappointment. "Mina you have to get me outta here!" She nodded, the sadness obvious in her pupils. "I'll bust you out I promise." The prince came into sight a few cells away and Mina mouthed 'sorry', slapping kaminari "that's what you get for stealing my necklaces!" She put her face in her hands, sobbing and running from the cell, right past bakugo and up the steps. He glared at kaminari, who crossed his arms, looking away from the prince. "Hey your highness- to what do I owe this fabulous pleasure?" He said in a sarcastic tone, owning a scoff from bakugo. "You should face me when you address me, and watch your tone. You're already in deep shit."
Kaminari rolled his eyes, turning to face the prince. "Oh yeah? Well what are you gonna do if I don't address you Huh? Hang me? Feed me to your subjects? Trust me tough guy, I've been through way worse" bakugo called his bluff, leaning and arm above on his head and on the bar. "Like what" the thief's eyes widened, a pained look going much farther then his eyes. He looked away. "Some things you don't discuss with over-privileged princes such as you" bakugo rose a brow "over- privileged huh? Well I command you to tell me" Kaminari scoffed, looking right into his eyes and balling his fists. "Well fine! Ever heard of the kraken?" Bakugo shook his head, putting his arm above his head and leaning into the bar and glaring into his eyes. "The what?" Kaminari rubbed his hands together, sitting on the bed and starting to tell the dramatic tale. A few hours passed and they both smiled, sharing strange stories of adventures that they had, trying to see which one was more adventurous.
"I guess we're more alike then different, Huh your highness?" The small blonde looked up to him, his chest pressing against the bars of his prison, a small smile on his face. The prince simply glared down at him, brain running a million miles per hour trying to process the fact that they seemed so alike. How could a prince be alike a petty thief? It didn't make any sense to him.
He nodded, walking quickly away, his heart racing. The pirate just snickered and watched him leave, sighing and laying back down on the bed that would surely give him bruises. Time passed and the prince passed his room, wondering what the hell his heart was doing to him. He sat down on his desk, doing some paperwork as his mind tried to process the feeling. He saw an execution schedule and a list of prisoner names, just checking one and tossing it in the pile. He didn't even notice the name that he checked..
