Kals POV 

Dr. Reyes has been pestering me a lot lately and I know it has to do with me and Nala. For example I had just left Nala's room heading to my own when Dr. Reyes texted me to come see him. When I got there all he did was ask me about her. And don't get me wrong I knew what I was getting myself into in the beginning...well kinda. I won’t hurt her or any of her friends but I don't know what will happen if I continue to ignore him. Maybe I could make something up...no that's dumb, or is it. He said he's going to talk to her today. I wish I could be there with her.

Nala’s POV 

The plan is going perfectly. This boy is definitely falling for me. I kinda feel bad though because once we're free I'll never see him ever again...oh well. Nova has been helping me with my flirting even though I don't need it. But I’ll listen to his stupid advice for the sake of the plan. Suddenly my door swung open and there stood none other than my favorite Dr.

“Nala, Nala, Nala”.

“Dr. Dr. Dr.”

“You’ve been doing some very bad things. Seducing one of my nurses really? I thought you were better than that.

“I don't know what you're talking about. Kal and I are real, he’s not a sick man who kidnaps people to do research on them, like some people.” I smirked at him

I hope that was believable.

“Sick HA, I’m very healthy thank you. And I didn’t just kidnap you for research I will also use your powers for my advantage. If you're going to talk about me don’t sell me short.

“Oh my apologies Dr. Now if you don’t mind I would rather not look at your face anymore so could you leave?”

At that moment I knew I should learn to just shut up sometimes. He rushed towards me, dragged me off the bed, and pinned me against the wall, his breath was hot in my face. Gross

“Listen here, just because Kal fell for your little trick doesn’t mean I will. So you will watch your tone and show me some respect. Or you’ll regret it.”

He let go of me and started to walk away.

“Oh, and Nala...remember I’m always listening.”

After he left I went to the mirror and touched my neck. My eyes started water but I quickly blinked my tears away. I will never waste my tears on him. I cleaned myself up and went to go find my friends. Once I made it to the main hall, luckily they were all there so I ran up to them.

“Guys he knows. Dr. Reyes knows.”

“What”, Nova said,” Are you sure? How do you know?”

“He came in and started questioning me about Kal...then we kinda fought and when he was leaving he said he was always listening.”

“Ok, this is good.”

We all looked at King. Maybe she’s going crazy?

“Umm King how the hell is this good news we're probably all gonna get murdered.”

“Chill out Dylan”, she said,” All this means is that we have to speed up the process. Nala, you just need to give Kal some stupid speech about being together and then convince him to take your chip out so you can kill Reyes, then Kal will take ours out. Problem solved.”

“Honestly that's a good plan sister and normally your plans are horrible.”

“What? No there not...You know what Star that's not important right now. We need to figure out what Nala is gonna say.”

After hours of prep I think I'm ready to do this. I hope I don't mess this up. I walked to Kals room sweating like a whore in church but I can't turn back now. I took a deep breath and knocked on his door. When he opened it I couldn't find any words. I hate that I'm so attracted to him.

“Hey Nala are you ok?”

“Huh? Oh Yeah I'm fine. I just came to talk to you.”

Oh my God Nala pull yourself together.

“Great come on in. I have to admit I did miss you.”

I walked into his room. It's nothing special. The walls and ceiling are all white and his bed is a good size with a black cover. A big window behind the bed and a desk with a computer next to the bathroom door and a bunch of workout equipment on the other side. No wonder he’s so muscular. He took my hand and led me to the bed and smiled.

“So what did you wanna talk about.”

“Well as you know we've been seeing each other for awhile an-”

“And it's been the best few weeks of my life. Nala you're so amazing.”

He looked so deep in my eyes I thought he would drown. And he was smiling at me. He always smiled. He was the type of guy who made you smile just by sitting there.

“Thank you Kal, as I was saying being with you is great and you make me really happy. Your so kind and sweet and handsome and like really handsome let me tell you.”

“Nala, I think I know what you were tryna say.”

“You do?”

“Yes I do and...I love you too.”

“Huh?”

“I know it’s so soon but Nala Waters I fell for you, hard. And I wasn't gonna say anything but after hearing you ramble I now know you feel the same way.”

He picked me up from the bed and spun me around.

“Isn't this fantastic?”

Well this is not what I expected but hey I'm not mad at it. He set me down still smiling like a kid in a candy store. Do I love him?

“Yes it is fantastic.”

“You do love me back don't you?”

I stood on my tippy toes and pulled him towards me.

“Yes I love you Kal. I really do.

Our lips connected and it felt like eating your favorite food while watching your favorite show. Pure heaven.

“Kal, you know Dr. Reyes won’t let us be together.”

“What? I’m sure he will. We just have to ask, he’s a reasonable guy once you get to know him.”

“Kal how will we ever be happy trapped in this place? We have to leave so we can be free to do whatever we want.

“Well, I guess you're right about that.”

“Don’t you want that? For it to be just me and you without anyone watching? I know I do.”

“Of course I do.”

“Then you know what you have to do...don’t you?”

“Yeah, I know. It’s gonna be dangerous but I'll do anything for love.”

“You will?”

“Yes. I’ll remove your chip
