Chapter 7

May 30th, 10:30 am Research Facility Of Genetic Mutation

Kals POV

I'm doing this for love. I'm doing this for love. Nala and I had just walked into the operating room where I prepared to remove her chip.

“Thank you, Kal thank you so much. I promise you won’t regret it.”

“I know.” I leaned down and gave her a kiss.”This is gonna hurt.” I injected her and she instantly knocked out. I was doing this for us. For love and nothing would stop me.

Dr. Reyes POV 

I Watched from the security room as Kal prepared. He’s such an idiot falling for this little girl's tricks like some lovesick puppy. I began to grow impatient as the last part of the file finished downloading. And once it did, a grinch type smile appeared on my face as I rushed to the operation room.

“Kal Stop! What do you think you are doing.”

“All you’ve ever done was lie and make me do evil things but now im doing something good for someone I love and who loves me, you evil evil man.”

“You think she loves you it was just an act. I’m on your side and I can prove it if you just let me show you.”

“No, stay away.” He pulled the chip out with a satisfied grin. “Now what Dr. you can no longer control me or my love.”

“You know what Kal I’m gonna prove to you that you have just made a big mistake.”

“Oh yeah and how do you plan on doing that.”

“Oh right on cue. Hello Nala how are you feeling.”

“Kal what is he doing here.”

“Nothing love he was just leaving,” I turned towards her,” It’s all done sweetheart now we can be together”

Nala’s POV

I rose to my feet feeling better than ever. It had worked. Now to get rid of Dr. and get Kal to remove the rest of my friend's chips.

“HA Dr. Dr. Dr. I think it's time for some revenge”

This is gonna be fun. I lifted my hands using the wind spirit to raise the doctor in the air and slam him into the wall. 

“It doesn’t feel good does it Dr.”

I used my other hand to generate a fireball and began to taunt him with it.

“Kal, he screamed, just look at the phone and you'll see”.

I was so focused on how I would kill the doctor that everything else was blocked out. I walked towards him with a fireball in hand ready to destroy this man when I felt a sharp pain in my side. I turned around to see Kal holding a phone and a needle.

“Kal what the hell? What's wrong with you?”

He had tears in his eyes.

“YOU NEVER LOVED ME.”

“What? Yes, I do. Kal you know I do”

“Stop fucking lying im sick of everyone fucking lying”

I rose to my feet with caution.

“Kal, I have no idea what you're talking about. We love each other, remember? How could you do this?”

“Oh, we love each other? Is that what you're telling me?

“Ye-”

“-No you don't. You don't love anyone but yourself. I loved you and all you wanted to do was use me. I trusted you we were supposed to be together but now your dead to me. So you might as well be dead to everyone else too."

“What? Kal, no please I do love you I really love you where did you get this idea from because it's not true.”

The tears were coming out like mini waterfalls as he showed me the video. I didn’t know anyone could hurt someone as I had hurt him. I gently grabbed his hand.

“Kal. Baby. I know this looks bad but that's not how I feel anymore ok. I promise you. I love you ok I really really love you.”

“Oh Nala, you know what's funny? I almost believed you.”

He pushed me to the ground and walked towards Dr. Reyes who was still on the wall. 

Kals POV 

 “See Kal I told you. I would never lie to you.”

“Shut the HELL up. You aren't any better than her and you must pay for your actions.”

“Kal no stop. Don’t do this.”

I ignored his pathetic begs for mercy and plunged the needle in his stomach, dragging it across while looking him dead in the eye.

“Goodbye doctor. I’ll see you in hell.”

When I turned I saw Nala’s horrified face I smiled.

“What's wrong sweetheart.”

I caressed her face, leaving a bloodstain. A tear fell from her eye and tilted my head in confusion.

“Why are you crying, my love? I know you're not sad because of his death are you?”

“Your fucking crazy.”

“No. More like fed up.” I smiled at her, “I’m willing to forgive you if you promise to never cross me again.”

Her eyes lit up and I became hopeful that I would still have my love. She walked towards me slowly, most likely feeling the effects of the injection. I pulled her close and gave her a sweet kiss. She backed away and smiled.

“We will never ever get back together.”

She thrusted her hands towards me in an attempt to use her powers but failed. 

I chuckled at her repeated attempts.

“Wow, the first thing you do after we reunite is try to kill me. Hmm ok if that's how you want it to be then ok. I’ll be the bad guy.”

I grabbed her while she kicked and screamed. Another injection calmed her and made it easier for me to strap her to the table and gag her mouth. She had fear in her eyes when I looked into them. I took a deep breath and changed into a cleaner lab coat.

“What could have been. It’s sad really. I truly love you but you must learn how this works love. You can't beat me. Well, im off to go see your friends.”

She screamed through the cloth and I kissed her forehead. I walked through the door but before closing it I had to say it one last time.

“I love you.” and with that, I closed the door and made my way down the hall.
