I woke up to find Dorian not in bed. It was probably 4 o'clock in the afternoon, so I was a bit strange for him not to be asleep. I got up out of bed and went through all of the house, looking in the study, and the library, and the living room, and the dinning room, and the kitchen. He wasn't anywhere to be found. I called out for him, but I didn't get any responses. I walked over to the phone on the side of the hallway, next to the door. I saw that there was messages left on the voicemail. Clicking the listen button, I heard Dorian's dark voice on the other end.
"Hey Blain. Sorry I can't make it home tonight. My mother is being a bother. She is insisting I stay the night. But I'll be home as soon as I can. Love you."
"Next message" said the voice mail voice.
"Hey Blain. So don't be mad, but I got called in to work. I'll be home at 7, I promise. I'm sorry, I wanted to be there when you woke up. But I'll make it up to you, I promise. How about we go out for dinner? Or we can stay home, order take out and watch movies? Your choice. Think it over, and we can make final decisions when I get home. See you later. Love you."
"Next message"
"Hey Blain. I'm on my way home. It might take abit, considering traffic, but I can't wait. Love you."
I kind of just sat there. Did he come home between going to work. That must be it.
I smiled at the last message though. He was going to be home soon. I rushed up the stairs to take a shower. If we were going to watch movies and eat take out, I wanted to at least smell good. I dressed in some comfortable sweat pants, and one of Dorian's smaller shirts. The clothes we bought yesterday hadn't been delivered yet, probably because they were still being tailored. I put a towel over my head when I heard the front door open. I walked down the stairs and dried my hair as he was taking off his coat.
"About time you got home." I said, pretending to be angry. I hide my smiling face with the towel as I heard him take off his shoes.
"I'm so sorry. My mother and I had a lot to talk about, and then with work. Uhhh! It was so frustrating. But I'm home now, did you get my messages?" He sounded tired.
"Yeah, I got them." I said, sounding irritated. I just wanted to give him a bit of a hard time. I started walking off towards the living room. He raced after me, and I almost giggle.
"Blain, I'm sorry. I know you were expecting me home sooner, and if I could have come home, I would have in a heart beat." He said, matching my past. After that, I couldn't hold back. I turned around, leaning down slightly.
"Fine, but your buying me a coffee, strawberry cake, and olive garden. And then you have to sit down with me, and watch ouran host club with me. K?" I smiled at the end, letting him know that it was ok, I forgive him.
He smiled big, and pulled me into a hug.
" I'll go get the food, and your coffee, and be back in half an hour. I won't even take the car." He said, kissing my forehead.
" I'll see you soon." I said smiling.. And in the next moment, he was gone. I sighed before turning towards the livingroom. I felt his arms wrap around me as I was facing his chest. I looked up and Dorian smiled at me.
"Forget something?" I asked, tilting my head.
"Yes. Something important." He said calmly, looking down at me with those eyes of his. Those beautiful eyes that only ever seem to look at me. Those sparkling eyes that seemed to hold me in their gaze.
And he leaned down, His head tilting opposite of mine. I closed my eyes as I felt his lips connect with mine. It was a light kiss, but for however long it lasted, I wanted the moment to last a lot longer. When he pulled away, I fluttered my eyes open to see the biggest smile on his face. You know, he seems to be smiling really brightly lately. I hope it stays that way.
