Within 3 days, we were packed and on our way to a cabin in Maine. While Brier and Thorne drove the jeep, Monica and I drove the u-haul. The thing the kids didn't know is Mr. Forkle had sent us away because they suspect the Black Swan has a spy.

The house was a big log cabin in the woods, with the nearest town 4 hours away. It was very big and spacious. It has several big windows and a beautiful big porch. The cabin had four rooms: The kitchen and dining room, 2 bedrooms with bathrooms, a family room, and a gym. The kitchen, family room, and the gym were downstairs. The upstairs was broken up into two loft bedrooms. The house was in this triangle shape and had very high ceilings upstairs.

Over the past few weeks, Thorne and Brier had gotten very, very close. It had gotten to the point were Brier couldn't go to sleep without Thorne. Brier had always had sleeping problems, so it helped to know that she could at least get sleep with Thorne.

When I was recruited to protect Brier, I thought it would be easy. When I met her, I knew I was wrong. Brier was like a sister to me, I knew that was against all protocol. But Brier had worked her way into my heart. Every time she got hurt, upset, worried, I felt as if I should be there for her. When Mr. Forkle had told us we need to take them into hiding I was worried, but now after 6 months, I knew we would be better than ok. Every day we got closer and happier. We had become a family... Family.

(2 weeks after moving in:)

"What are you smiling about?" Brier asked interrupting my thoughts. "Just thinking." Is all I said, as she joined me on the porch. "Come on spill," She whined nudging me. "Just happy," I told her smiling. "You? Mr. Tough Guy?" She said, giving me a raised eyebrow. "Tell me why!" She said leaning on me. I put my arm around her, "I happy because of you." "Me?" She ask looking up at me. "You have changed my life, I am happy about how our relationship has turned out. You are like a little sister, and I am just happy that I have the privilege to know and protect you." Brier stepped back and looked at me with a smile. "You... " She stuttered, "Thank you for protecting me, thank you for taking me under your wing, and... And thanks for everything." She said pulling me into your a hug. "Thanks for everything you have done for me."

(Thorne/ Fitz:)

Monica and I were inside watching them. "Did Atlas and Brier get into a fight?" I asked Monica as she comes back in from the kitchen. "No, I think they are just close." "Now let's go join them. We can't let them have all the family bonding time." We went out and joined them. "May we join?" Monica asked as we approached. Atlas lifted his head and ushered us into the hug.

(Later that day:)

"How????? How did you win for the fourth game in a row?" I asked as Brier triumphantly shuffled the UNO cards. "Let me tell you," she said leaning over to me. "I'm better than you!" She whispered into my ear as she got up with a smile and walked into the kitchen. She came back a minute later with a drink. "You know UNO is just a game of chance right?" She said with a smile. "Really?" I asked looking at her pretty face? "Well yes and no, There are 108 cards in a UNO deck? There are four suits: Red, Green, Yellow and Blue, each consisting of one 0 card, two 1 cards, two 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, and 9s; two Draw Two cards; two Skip cards; and two Reverse cards. In addition, there are four Wild cards and four Wild Draw Four cards. So, depending on the cards I have and each card you play. I can do a mathematical equation and predict your move and then I can plan my move and boom." She said then sipped her drink all cocky. "Really?" I asked in disbelief. "Yeah, it's actually quite easy." She said looking at me all sweetly. "She could pass as a pretty little dummy, but under all that beauty she's a dangerous woman," Monica said, as they came into the family room. "She beat you at UNO again?" Atlas asked as he shuffled the cards. "Yes... but how did you figure at the math equation?" All she did is smile, " A magician never reveals her secrets." Brier came over and snuggled up with me as we put a movie on.
