Chapter 35

— FANGS' POV —

Right after I gain access to the security cameras, I get to work. Fuck, there are tons of cameras, this'll take a while.

*over earpiece*

F: Jug, this is gonna take me a while. There's more than 100 cameras
J: How much time do you need?
F: As much as you can give me.
J: You all heard him, everyone stay low, hide, don't draw attention to yourself, the last thing that we need is someone finding out that we're here, so don't do anything till Fangs finds her.
T+S+A: Got it.

I just go through all of the cameras, it's a nightmare. At least ours is organized into folders of rooms and all of them are numbered, their's are all over the place, like #1 is in a room, then #2 is in a different room, but #5 is in the same room as #1. Ugh. I get to about #67, and see this small room, with scratches on the concrete floor. I look closer to see writing.

Betty Cooper was here, help

Shit. That's not good. There's no one in there anymore.
I didn't want Jug to worry yet, so I chose not to tell him till I had more info. I keep going, until I get to #116. It's this huge room, with someone in the middle. They're sitting down, wait. They're unconscious tied to a chair. Shit.

*over earpiece*

F: *nervous* Uhh.... Jug?
J: *nervous* Yeah?
F: *nervous* What color is Betty's hair?
J: Blonde.
J: Why, did you find her?
F: Yeah, I think she's unconscious.
T: What?!
J: *sadly* Is she....
F: No no no, but I think they've been using punch rings.
J: Shit. Where is she?

I look over to the blueprint of the building and match the size of the room that she's in to the blueprint.

F: South West corner. It's a big room, probably an extra empty storage room.
J: Got it.

I take a quick look back at camera #67 with that note that she left. I noticed that she scratched an arrow that pointed to a chair. I zoom into the arrow and see that next to it it says:
master key under here
Oh my god. She got us a master key.

*over earpiece*

F: *excited* Jug Jug Jug!
J: What?
F: Your girlfriend is amazing.
T: What? Why? What happened?
F: She got us a master key.
S: Wait, seriously?
J: What? How? Where?
F: Well, I don't know how... but-
T: Dude, you got access to the security cameras, just roll back the footage.
F: Oh yeah... *laughs* Give me a sec.

I roll back the footage and see her in there, tied up, on the floor.

F: Here it is.
J: What happened?
F: Well, first someone walks in and ties her to a chair. She asks him where she is and he tells her. Wow, he's stupid, and it looks like she took advantage of that. She tried to get him to untie her but he didn't do it.
F: Oh my god this is badass.
S: What?
F: She flew herself back and her knees hit his balls and she broke herself out.
S: Woah!
J: Is she okay?
F: She probably hit her hand on the floor but otherwise she's fine. She kicks him in the balls again and threatens to do it again if he doesn't give her the key.
F: I think she was going to just walk out, but realized there would be a lot of people so she lets him out and locks the door.
S: Shit, she's a badass.
J: I'm... actually speechless. I honestly didn't think she had it in her, she's normally so fragile. You know her Toni, and you saw her in the cafeteria at school Sweet Pea.
S+T: *over earpiece* Yeah.
T: Wow.
F: Okay, enough obsessing over Jughead's girl, we gotta save her.
All: *laughs*
T: So where's the key?

I match up the room and realize that it's on the line of the vents that Toni went through.

F: Jackpot.
T: What?
F: It's the first vent on the path where you went to get to the security cameras.
T: Uhhhh.... okay.
T: I'll get it now.
J: Great.
