[this is a long-ass oneshot i wrote a long-ass time ago but its basically just a highschool au ft. a few of my original characters cuz i needed more people. tw for mention of alcohol, subtle mention of abuse (it's not much, just a few hints but better safe than sorry), violence, slight homophobia (theres a bit of name-calling), and kind of a bit of making out? i cut it before it got too serious though. anyway i hope you enjoy this trash, there's a lot of inappropriate jokes]

[and no, i couldn't find a better title, don't @ me]

Frank sat on his bed, scrolling through his phone and trying not to fall asleep out of boredom. It was a lame Wednesday night, he would have an exam the next day (which he obviously didn't study for) but he couldn't care less--it was already 10.30 pm and he should probably go to sleep but, how he had once said when he was drunk, 'sleep is for the weak'. And, even though his drunk-self talked a lot of shit (and I mean, more than he usually does), he decided to live by that motto.

He flinched when something knocked against his window. A second later, the same thing happened. And a third time.

Curiously, he put his phone down and got up and over to the window just to see a dictionary smack against the glass. With a risen eyebrow, he opened the window and leaned out, not at all surprised to see his boyfriend standing on his porch. "Gerard?" He whisper-yelled, just loud enough for them to hear. "What are you doing here?"

The redhead stretched his hand out like a sign for Frank to wait and he set his bag down, then jumped up the porch roof before climbing up to the window. "Hey," he grinned, leaning his arms on the window sill, "long time no see."

Frank gave him a look, trying to hold back his amusement. "We saw each other in school today."

"But it's already been-" Gerard glanced at his watch, "seven and a half hours. I missed you."

Now, Frank leaned against the window sill from the other side. "Do you wanna come in or just, I don't know, stay out there and talk to me?"

Again, he told him to wait with a gesture, then climbed back down to get his bag. A minute later, Gerard was sitting on the window sill, now on the inside, letting his feet dangle down and grinning at the small boy in front of him. "Tada!" He said, grinning.

Now, Frank couldn't hide his amused smile anymore. "What do you want now? My praise?"

"Yes," he tipped his chin up, "tell me how great I am, Darling."

Scoffing, he let himself fall back into his swivel chair, crossing his arms. "Why are you here, Gee?"

He shrugged, kicking his feet and he had this grin on his lips that reminded Frank of a small child. "I missed you."

"That can't be true," he said, pulling one of his feet onto the chair.

"Why not?"

"'Cause you didn't even properly greet me."

Bashfully, he grinned again, hopping off the window sill and letting his bag carelessly drop to the ground as he made his way over to Frank. Instantly, he cupped his face and pressed his lips to Frank's.

Frank sighed out in content, reaching out and wrapping both his arms around Gerard's waist to pull him even closer.

But after just a second, Gerard pulled away and Frank gave him a questioning look. "Is the door locked?"

"N- no?" Frank frowned at him. "Why would it be?"

"Because," Gerard leaned down and kissed his neck, his nose brushing against Frank's jaw and he stopped for just a second, breathing in his scent, "I don't really want your mother to walk in when I'm doing what I want to do."
