He just nodded as an answer.
"Is it okay if I ask you questions? Mukhang mahal kasi ang bawat salita mo e" I subtly joked. He just shrugged as an answer, this is frustrating me!
"Where are you originally from?
"Oslob" tipid nyang sagot.
"Ilang taon ka na?" sunod kong tanong.
"Twenty-five" seven years lang pala ang tanda nya sakin, hindi na masama, si daddy nga e ten years ang tanda sa mommy.
"Seven years lang tanda mo sakin, pwede pa kitang jowain don't worry" I jokingly replied but he didn't gave a response even just a shrug from before.
"May business ba kayo?"
"Yes"
"May kapatid ka ba?"
"Yes"
"Are you the eldest then?"
"Yes"
"Yes"
"Gusto mo ba ako?"
"Yes----wait what?!" pasigaw nyang sagot.
"Pft, you should've seen your face" natatawa ko pa ring sabi.
It's interior is simpler than those churches with majestic drawings in the ceilings, nevertheless the church exudes solemnity that is why I loved our Sunday masses here whenever I happen to be in Liloan.
"This church is unique dahil ito lang ang simbahan sa isla that faces west and the fact that it does not face the sea, unlike many other churches in Cebu. It is said that there is supposed to be a cave at the back of the altar that is full of ancient treasures and that a sea creature protects it. But it remains uncertain if the cave is man-made, but some people think the cave may have been used as an escape route whenever pirates and marauders attacked the town. That's why I think the church is more beautiful because of the stories behind it." pagti-trivia ko bigla, ayos para na talaga ako nitong tourist guide. Tahimik lang naman syang nakikinig sa akin.
