No Way Out

The Date

Around 5 o'clock the next day Ellie started getting worried.  What should I make?  What will he like?  What if I mess it up?

She only had so much food in the fridge so she decided to make a Salmon Dinner.

Once she was done cooking she decided to get dressed.  What should I wear?   I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard.  Why is this so hard?  I've never been this nervous before a date!

Alex's POV

As I knocked on her door I was so nervous.  I'm never this nervous!

As she opened the door my heart leaped.  She's beautiful.

"Hi!" she said sounding just as nervous as me.

As I walked in I saw what she had made.

"Hey!  Salmon dinner!  I love that stuff!" I exclaimed.

"That's a relief!" she said sighing.

As we ate dinner we made small talk.  I found out about her past.  How she had gotten out of a relationship with a bad boyfriend.  How she had always wanted a dog and how she had always wanted a family.  After we cleaned up she asked what movie I wanted to watch.  I started getting nervous.

"Um, anything is good."  I said, shakily.

"Alex?"  she asked questioningly, "Are you okay?"

"No."  I responded, "I'm so nervous.  I haven't ever, really, gone on many dates, and I don't want to screw this up."

Ellie's POV

"Don't be nervous." she said, "You are an amazing person.  Just be yourself."

Suddenly he moved his hand up to cup her cheek.

"Can I kiss you?" he asked timidly.

She responded by putting her lips on his.  She was in disbelief.  This can't be happening,  she thought giddily. 

 Their lips moved in sync.  Her hands moved to his neck, pulling him closer.  He slip his hands into her hair and started stroking it softly.  Alex kissed her jaw line and slowly moved down to her neck.  Ellie let out a moan.

"Oh Alex." she said, "You don't know how long I've wanted this to happen."

"I know.  I've wanted this too." he said breathlessly.

The second time he leaned in, he kissed he much more deeply.  His tongue grazed her teeth as if asking for permission.  She gave it.  Their hands moved around on each other.  Ellie felt every dip and divot on  his body and he on hers.

As they pulled out of the kiss Alex rested his forehead on hers and smiled at her.

She smiled right back.
