It had been four blissful months. Sebastian had moved in with her and they had been getting closer every day since then. I don't know how I lived without him for so long. She thought.
She was getting ready for the trial. It was scheduled for 12 o'clock sharp in ZuZu City so she had to leave early. As she left she kissed a sleeping Sebastian on the forehead and grabbed a cup of coffee. His testimony was much later in the day.

She sat on the bus for hours dreading what was to come. As they pulled up to the Courthouse she looked at her watch. 11:45 a.m. It read. She stepped off the bus and walked into the courthouse.

It was finally time for her testimony. She got sworn in and sat down in her chair.
"Ellie Springs." the judge said. "Where were you and what were you doing, on the night of June the 11th?"
"I was at my house." she responded, "I had just broken up with Alex and he hadn't taken it well. He had said that I couldn't breakup with him, turned and ran out of the door. Sebastian..."
She went on recollecting the events of that horrible night and telling them to the judge. After her there was Alex and then Sebastian. After everyone had their say the judge banged his gavel.
"I sentence Alex Russo to 25 years in prison for attempted rape and assault." the judge said, declaring his verdict.
Ellie and Sebastian let out a sigh of relief at those words. They walked out of the Courthouse holding hands.
