He lifted the glass to his lips and took a smooth sip of gin from the glass in his claw-like hands.
"The deals... Mr Todd... what are those deals?
W-What... were the deals ..." I muttered, concerned to last night's events I had no memory of.
I didn't need any more embarrassment from him.
Not now.

He stopped drinking and looked at me with hooded, dark eyes.
...His fingers just as easily released the glass to shatter on the floor.
His demonic eyes stared into my soul, unaffected by the broken glass.
His only attention was me...
He stalked towards me... His brows creasing ever so slightly...
"Deals?..." he finally growled, "deals... well... I can name at least twenty..... Mrs Turpin....." He hissed my surname.
