Back in the basement I waited for Chris to come back with the doctor. Everyone else was upstairs, giving me some space, Chris told me. I was still sobbing a bit and my eyes were burning from all the crying. Then I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. It was my friend and alongside him... "Morgan!", I called out surprised.

"Uh... yeah.", said Morgan, looking at me. He sat down on a chair in front of me. "I will ask you a few questions now." I just nodded and wiped away my tears with the sleeve of my black hoodie.

"Do you know what happened here?"

"No."

"Does 'Psycho' mean anything to you?"

"Yeah, it's a song... on our new album Drones..."

Morgan raised his eyebrows. "Our album?"

"Yes, I... play in a band... with Dom, Chris and... you..."

Morgan kept looking at me with raised eyebrows. Then he wrote something into his notebook. "Please tell me more about this Dom. You seem to keep talking about him all the time, as Chris told me."

I felt a pain in my heart. I took a deep breath and began to explain. "Dominic is... well... my boyfriend. We live together in a house... in THIS house. And... this morning I woke up and he was.... he was gone. Just gone. And the whole fucking world changed. All of a sudden there are cyborgs trying to kill me and my beloved home TOWN IS DESTROYED!" Tears were running down my face again. I didn't even notice that towards the end I began to yell and even stood up from my chair.

"Please calm down Matthew!", said Morgan, carefully pushing me back into my chair. "I'm... I'm sorry.", I sobbed, rubbing my face. "Please just tell me what happened here."

Morgan took a deep breath. "Okay... two years ago, the world was taken over by someone we call 'The Psycho'. A cruel ruler with no mercy who turns people into mindless killing machines, the drones. To do so he uses brainwashing. He did that to many soldiers and even just ordinary people to force them to fight for him. But we are the rebellion. We try to take down The Psycho since he started to rule. We want to take back what's ours. Last week we were on a very important mission. We stole a piece of technology from The Psycho. A bomb which kills all the drones. I believe he made it in case his drones would defect. Do you remeber that?"

I closed my eyes, thinking hard. "Yes, it was the first time I woke up in this world. I layed on the ground in a small room and Chris was shaking me. But that was yesterday..."

Morgan wrote something in his notebook again. "Yeah since then you are like... well... like this. Suffering from what seems to be a sort of memory loss. Or... memory override. I think something happened to you when we were in this building, stealing the bomb."

"But... then why has it only happened to me? You were in the same building as me!"

The man in front of me sighted. "I really don't know. But I'd like to take you to my lab for further examinations."

Once again I wiped away my tears. "Okay, do what you gotta do..." But when I stood up from my chair the whole room began to turn and I began to feel dizzy. Then everything became black.

I blinked. I layed in my bed. Again. And next to me... Dom! He smiled at me but his beautiful storm grey eyes were filled with concern. My own eyes widened. "Dom!" I wrapped my arms around him, sobbing into his shoulder. He patted my back. "Love what's wrong with you lately?", he asked confused. I kept sobbing. "Help me! I... I think I'm going crazy! Save me from... this dark side!"
