«There’s only one way to find out more about the technology. We have to find the real hideout of The Psycho and bring it down.”, said Morgan, scratching his chin. We all stood in my basement around the big table in the middle. I had an arm around Dom and I pulled him close to me. I felt his warm body press against mine. We both knew we’d have to go in there together and I’m not gonna loose him again! “Dom, do you have any idea where the hideout could be?”, asked Chris with hope in his eyes. “Well I only know it’s somewhere up north, an old military base. I’ve never been there though, but it’s actually not far from here. And I think I’ll know when I see it…”, answered Dom. Chris looked at the map on the table. “Yes now you say it, I know of a military base in the north. It has been abandoned a long time ago. A perfect hiding spot, nobody would search there...”, he said. Dom leaned against the table and closed his eyes. His breath was short and fast. “You okay?”, I asked concerned and grabbed his hand. “Yeah it’s just… I don’t know if I can do this. What if he takes control of me again and makes me hurt you?” I looked him deep in his eyes, who glowed in a light shade of blue under the lamp. “I won’t let him.”, I said and pressed my lips against his. His breath became slower and I felt his body relaxing at my touch. Morgan just laughed and went into his lab. But Chris stared at us as if he was… jealous. Then he walked away as well.

Two days later we left my house one last time. It was time to end all of this madness. I grabbed my laser gun tightly and walked without looking back. I will protect Dom!  He walked next to me and Chris, but he seemed to get more nervous with every step we took in the direction of the base. He mood was stretched, nobody wanted to talk. After about 3 hours of silent walking and killing hundreds of drones we arrived at a hill. And inside the hill was the base. Two massive metal doors blocked the way. “Get me the C4.”, said Chris and I pulled it out of my backpack. He placed the explosives in front of the doors. “Everyone step back!”, he shouted. “3…2…1…” I covered my ears and a loud bang was heard in the whole area. Immediately a swarm of drones escaped the hole in the stone wall and another fight begun. Chris, Morgan, Dom and I managed to fight our way into the base, alongside a few other fighters. We shot our way through the wave of mechanical humans until we reached a door. We pulled it open and vanished inside. Behind the door was a huge room with monitors and machines, almost like the room where we found Dom. No drones were in sight, they had to be all outside. “What is this place?”, I asked and looked around. Everywhere were lights blinking and cables were hanging from the ceiling like vines. Chris locked the door behind us. “I think it’s the control rom.”, he said with a monotone voice. “Control room for what?”, asked Morgan. But then suddenly a few drones flew in, pointing their machine guns at us. “Drones!!!”, I shouted and I wanted to shoot them. But all of our laser guns suddenly deactivated. “It’s okay.”, said Chris, turning around to us. The drones landed next to him and he stared at us. “Chris? What… are you doing?”, asked Dom scared. “You are really stupid, aren’t you?”, hissed Chris.
