Starlight

We successfully took over the fortress of The Psycho. We suffered heavy losses and everyone was tired. But the will to end all of this madness kept the rest of us alive. We must fight for our rights and take back what so violently has been taken from us. Our freedom.

We were back at our base. I gently ran my hand through Doms now blond hair. He lay on the metal table in Morgans lab, still unconscious. A metallic headband was around his head, which Morgan used to analyse brainwaves. He meant, maybe he could find a way to bring my memories back and find more information about the real Psycho. I sighted. It took me a lot to persuade the others not to kill Dom. I mean, he said himself he wasn't responsible for all that. And I will find the bastard that did this to my love and I will kill him! I rested my head on Doms chest and felt his warm body. Silently I began to sing again.

Small tears were forming in the corner of my eyes.

My head dashed up from Doms chest. He smiled at me and under the lamp of the lab his tired eyes glew in a slight green. He grabbed my hand.

"Now I'll never let you go
If you promised not to fade away
Never fade away..."

My wole body shook and the tears now run down my face. "You... you remember our songs..."
"Of course I do. I remember everything. From this world and the other.", Dom said with a weak voice. Suddenly the door opened and Morgan and Chris came in. "So, you're finally awake.", said Morgan and sat down on a chair next to us. Chris leaned against the wall behind us. "Can you please tell us everything you know about your brainwashing technology and how you experienced being linked with Matt?", asked Morgan and opened his notebook.

Dom rubbed his eyes. "I'll try. But everything's really blurry. I don't know how all of it works or what happened, I was only there when we did experiments. Like the one we did last week, but that failed. One of the machines malfunctioned, I guess. There was a.... a bright flash of light...and yeah, then I began to dream of Matt."

"Yeah, I remember that.", said Chris. "Matt and I infiltrated the fortress. We tried to figure out more about your technology and your experiments with it. Then suddenly a lighning bolt flashed through the whole building. Matt must have been too close to the center and got hit by the bolt. Because I found him in the room next to where you did this experiment."

Morgan scratched his head. "That must have been when your brains got linked. That energy you were talking about... it seems to be similar to the device I use. Maybe... if I can modify it a bit and with the help of Doms brainwaves we might be able to use it to get Matts memories back! And also we might find some more information about the real Psycho..."
