Since I forgot and I created the characters I decided you might have too.....

Ashton's POV

I woke up early the next morning. I usually slept in, but with humans in the house I had to be careful. I wanted to wake up before all them, so they wouldn't wander and end up walking into a room they shouldn't be in.

I had James starts on breakfast while I went to the control room of the house. I was on the top floor next to my parent's room.

I looked at the footage of last night and saw Alex go into Daniel's room. I was curious why, but there were no cameras in the rooms. Probably just talking... or maybe those two were a couple. I decided to leave it be.

I looked at the live feed and saw Alex get up and go to the bathroom. She then went back to her room. After a few minutes she left her room, dressed now, knock a few times on all of the guy's doors.

I left the control room and headed downstairs. I then went to my room and grabbed my laptop before going into the kitchen. I started typing away.

Writing was a hobbie of mine. I wrote books for fun. I could never publish them though. If I happened to become famous that would be bad. My parents liked being as unnoticed as possible.

I heard footsteps behind me. I resisted turning around. The footsteps were probably still too far away for a normal person to hear. I had better hearing than a normal person though. After a few more seconds I turned around and saw Alex.

"Hey Alex," I said, "James is making breakfast, are the others coming down soon."

"Yeah," she said, "they are just lazy, slow pokes. After breakfast we should probably get going though."

"Where are you going?" I asked. She seemed to be in a hurry.

"We are just traveling across America. Hitch hiking, taking busses, any form of transportation we can find," she said casually.

I had heard of some teens doing that before. I wish I could do it too, but my parents would never allow it. There were too many people who would figure out who I am and kill me.

She looked at the clock and said jokingly, "I'm going to go see if they are getting ready or if they laid back down and went back to sleep."

She jogged towards the rooms and I went back to my computer. I logged onto the security system. On here I could see everything I could upstairs, but without having to go upstairs.

I tapped into the bugs and even though I said I wasn't going to snoop around and invade their privacy, I was too curious. Plus my parents always spied on everyone. Better safe than sorry.

I was putting on my headphones when I heard voices as they came back. I saw everyone except Blaise.

"Where's the idiot?" I asked.

"Blaise isn't a morning person," she joked.

I noticed a small burn on her arm that I don't remember being there before.

"Hey, when did you burn yourself?" I asked.

"Oh, I few days ago nothing big," she said.

"It looks new. James is also a medic, do you want him to look at it?" I asked.

"No, it's fine," she said.

They all sat down and James brought out breakfast. As we were eating I noticed Daniel was wearing sunglasses.

"Why are you wearing sunglasses in doors?" I asked

He hesitated and Alex answered for him, "He has an eye problem. He gets migranes and stuff without them on."

I was suspicous, but I let it be. We all finished eating. I noticed they all ate quite abit. It seemed like they hadn't eaten in awhile. Maybe, they hadn't. I was glad I could help. Daniel was the only one who ate as much as a normal person. The rest ate like starved people.

Finally Blaise came out. His hair was all messed up and he was barely awake.

"Coffee...." he mumbled.

For a moment I actually thought he was hot, but then I realized he's an idiot.

"I have coffee..." I said.

"Where?" he asked.

"I'm not going to tell you. I said I had coffee, not that you could have any..." I smirked as he scowled at me.

"Whatever..." he tried to just blow it off, but I could tell I was getting on his nerves.

"Blaise, you missed breakfast. It's your fault for not getting up. We don't have time for you to eat we need to get on the road. You will just have to wait until lunch," Alex said.

"But I'm hungry..." he said.

"Then start waking up sooner, we have to get going," I said.

He mummbled something under his breath, but other than that didn't say anything more.

"Thanks again, Ashton, for letting us stay here," Alex said.

"Yeah, your house rocks," Jake said.

"No problem, I usually don't pick up hitch hikers because my mom says they are probably going to murder me but.... I'm not dead so I don't think you guys are psycopaths," I joked.

They waved, except for Blaise, and left.

I went on my computer and decided to listen to the bugs we had put in their rooms and see if anything intersting happened.

Mostly it was nothing, but I noticed three different clips that made me realize I had made a mistake.

The first one talked about how Daniel hadn't had blood in awhile and her offering hers. She also called him Damian.

The second one was her in Blaise's room. She was telling him to get up and then I heard her say something about him burning her. That explained the burn. She called him by Blaise so that must be his real name.

Lastly it was the bug from the hallway. I heard 'Alex' calling all the guys by different names than the ones she told me. I also heard her telling them not to talk to much in case they slip up and give them away. She would do most of the talking.

I punched the wall and when I pulled my hand away I saw a dent in the wall. James came in and saw it.

"What is wrong, Miss Ashton?" he asked.

"Those people who stayed here aren't humans.... I should've known. Atleast according to the cameras they didn't do anything. They didn't want to hurt me, they probably didn't even known," I said.

"I'm guessing you want to keep this a secret from your parents? They wouldn't be happy if they found out you picked up hitch hikers. Them not being human would make them furious. Don't worry, since nothing bad happened I will keep your secret," James said.

"Thanks James," I said.

sorry its a day late. I didn't have my computer with me all weekend. But better late than never right?
