The red and blue dragons went over to the huge, metal door and pushed it open. "Follow us, cat humans." We followed them inside and looked around. My eyes widen as I gasp, "Leo, this is the Dragon City." "It's amazing." We saw other dragons come and look at us and I could hear the murmurs, "Cat humans? Here?" "They have the Dragon Crown." "Will they be the ones to finally bring peace between dragons and humans?"

I could tell they were mostly curious about our being here. The red and blue dragons led us to the center of the city where we met with a huge white dragon with red crystals on his head, chest, and arms. His head rose up as he noticed us. The red and blue dragons went to either side of him. He leaned his head down and examined us as other dragons gathered around to watch and listen. "Greetings, little feline humans, what are your names?" "I'm Emerald. This is Leo." "My name is Fireburst, elder and leader of the dragons. I see that you have the Dragon Crown." I nodded, "We got each piece and put it together, we had to before the king."

Firburst let out a low snarl, "I see your kind still relies on someone to rule over you." "Actually, that's why we're here, our king is a tyrant who cares nothing for his people. Many people, including us, despise him." "And someone like him wanted the crown?" I nodded, "And what do you plan to use the crown for, Emerald?" "All I want, is to use it's power to dethrone King Adder." "And do you believe people and dragons could coexist in harmony?" "I believe so, if we didn't have a king." He nodded and explained, "Long ago, the Dragon Crown was created as a sign of unity between people and dragons. But that unity didn't last long, for one selfish human wanted to rise above all others and rule. He became a king, forcing his rule upon the people. When the dragons refused to obey, he planned on using the Dragon Crown's power to control us. Luckily, the dragons got to it first, and broke it into pieces, hiding each piece in a remote location. With the crown's power lost, the dragons created this underground city in order to live peacefully away from the foolishness of the humans. Every dragon in the city is standing before you now."

We looked around at the dragons surrounding us. Leo spoke up, "There are fewer than I would've thought." Firburst nodded, "Living underground is harsh for any creature. Our numbers dropped drastically." I said, "That's terrible." "Indeed, but if we can finally return to the surface, the dragons will flourish once more." I looked up at him, "So then will you help us? If we get rid of the king and his castle, everyone, people and dragons, can once again live side by side." He nodded, "I sense the good in your hearts. We will fight with you. We may be small in numbers, but we are mightier than any other creature." He roared out, "Everyone! Prepare for the battle ahead! Tomorrow we leave!"

The other dragons rushed around, getting ready . Fireburst leaned his head down to us, "We will leave tomorrow morning, we must prepare ourselves first." I smiled, "That's fine. We'll rest up." Leo then asked me, "What about Razor Beak?" "Don't worry, Razor Beak can take care of himself." "I guess you're right." Fireburst then said, "Come, I have a place you can sleep." We followed him to a building like structure. He led us inside and gave us food. I took off the crown as we thanked him and ate.

Leo's pov

I noticed Firburst laying across from us, eating. After we ate, Emmy smiled at me, "I'm so happy, we finally made it. Our journey is finally almost over." She hugged me, causing me to smile and hug her back, "Yep, soon we'll be able to relax." She yawned and mumbled, "I can't wait." I chuckled, "Get some rest, you need it." She layed against me as I held her. I kissed her forehead, "Goodnight, Emmy." I realized that she was already asleep, she really was tired. Fireburst had also finished eating and was now watching us. "I'm impressed, Leo." I gave him a puzzled look, "Why?" "I can tell you two have been through a lot." I nodded, "We have. We've always helped each other out. I can't tell you how many times I've been worried about her safety." "And that's exactly how you should feel. It's only natural to worry about your mate." I blushed, "Uh...well, w-we haven't...um..." he laughed at my flustered expression. "You should rest now too, Leo." I cleared my throat, "You're right, goodnight." I layed down with Emmy, slowly drifting off to sleep.

Emerald's pov

The next morning, we woke up and started getting things ready. We met up with Fireburst in the center of the city. "Good morning, you two. Are you ready to leave." I nodded, "Yep, whenever you are." He let out a loud roar, causing all the dragons to gather around him. The red and blue dragons from before came over to us and let us on their backs. I got the red one, Leo got the blue one. Firburst explained, "Today, we return to the surface and rid the land of it's tyrant king! Are you ready?!" All the dragons roared in reply. "Then let's go home!" And with that, all the dragons charged toward the exit.
