good morning, sunshine (lloyd)

I open my eyes, the milky morning light shining in through the open window. The birds faintly sang their good morning songs as Lloyd slowly opened his deep emerald eyes. I gently push a golden curl away from his eyes, offering a small smile as my E/C eyes met his.

"Good morning, sunshine," I said in a soft voice, making him smile. He gently pulled me towards him, wincing slightly. After a small, sweet kiss planted carefully on my forehead, he snuggled his body closer to mine, his arms and legs protectively wrapped around me.

"Are you okay?" I asked, remembering the fight he had been in yesterday. Though he hadn't been hurt, I still worried about him. I knew he hurt more than he would let on, he didn't like making me worry.. He reminded me of a big teddy bear, with those gentle green eyes of his.

"I'm okay, I promise," Lloyd said, kissing the top of my head with his slightly chapped, though, I didn't mind, lips. "Just a little sore, no need to worry, love."

I smiled, cuddling up as close to him as possible, the cool morning breeze leading me to shiver. Drawing me even closer, Lloyd squeezed me with his strong, sore arms. As his warmth flooded over me, I felt myself drifting off to sleep.

"I love you, princess," were the words that I heard as I slipped into a sweet, light sleep, while Lloyd ran his calloused fingers over my arms.

I sat up, the bright light causing me to blink. I stood up, picking up Lloyd's green hoodie, and pulling it over my bare shoulders. I pulled my long, wavy h/c hair into a messy bun just as Lloyd walked in, holding a bowl of my favorite cereal. After setting it down on the bedside table, he pulled you close to him, and wrapped his arms around you. Resting your head on his chest, you rubbed his back in small circles. He gently cupped your head with his hands as he kissed you firmly, yet sweetly on your lips.
