I picked up the phone and pressed the buttons 999 with shaky hands. I know I wouldn't hear the caller but I could blurt out my worries and hope they understood. Just as I dial the last digit, he came through the door all sweaty. My heard rate went from a million beats back to normal.

Ben: Cal *as i put the phone down and walks towards him* where have you been?

Callum: couldn't sleep. Went for a run.

Ben: *panicked* you had me worried. You weren't here when I woke up and then you weren't in the kitchen or watching TV and noone had seen you and.. and... I don't know. You could have done something you regret.

Callum: Calm down, calm down. It's ok. *Pulling Ben in for a hug*

We stand there for a while. Just embracing each other. Eventually Callum pulls away

Callum: I need to have a shower and to get to work.

Ben: you sure you're up for it. You should have to day off. I'll text Jay.

Callum: I'm fine. Anyway, going to work will take my mind off of eveything. What about you? You have work too?

Ben: I can have the day off. You're more important.

Callum: I'm going to work Ben. I'll be fine. Sorry for making you sweaty. I'm going for a shower, you can join me if you like. (Wink face)

We walk to the bathroom and strip. I don't mind him making me sweaty if this is what it was leads too! And as long as I have him it's all I need. I don't mind anything he does.

By the time we are out of the shower, we are both running late. Who cares, Call it a family emergency. We hurry and get ready.

Ben: babe, do you think you should you know... Get support for the PTSD?

Callum: Ben I've .... you. I'. fine. Will you jus. ... off my back (half shouting and half speaking)

Ben: ok sorry for mentioning it. I look away awkwardly

Callum storms out of the bedroom and i follow him. Callum then turns the front door and walks out. After a few seconds he comes back and signs I love you to me and kisses me on the forehead before leaving for work.

This morning has been eventful I think to myself as I walk to work. Replaying all the events, especially the shower scene! And the day is only just getting started...
