When feng jiu had told si ming to shut up, her aura had blazed red with her power. This had left him dumbstruck and not because of the anger and viciousness she had said it with, even though si ming had never seen such viciousness from the sweet feng jiu before he could understand the reason behind it. But what had caused him to lose his tongue was the power behind that threat. The power that had emanated from her then had been so close to the one he had seen coming from dijun when he was truly mad and that kind of power was no small thing.
As he knelt there, he saw feng jiu centering her aura around donghua's mortal body and retreat within. He did not know what was happening any longer but the one thing he did believe in was feng jiu would never let donghua go. It occurred to him how stupid he had been trying to tell her to give up. I must have lost all lucid thoughts in my panic, he thought to himself. He was the sole witness of all she had done for his majesty, he knew there was nothing in all of the heaven and earth that she would not do for him. So, to suggest that she step back and let him die had been pure idiocy on si ming's part. Even as he was busy self-criticizing, his brain did not fail to notice the significant increase in her aura and cultivation. Since he had stepped inside her protective shield, he had felt the strength of her aura, and now as he analyzed it, he could see that she had not yet ascended to high immortal. Yet, her powers felt similar to the ones of ascension, or dare he say stronger than those of a high immortal. He could evidence this with himself as a high immortal that had trained under the watchful eye of donghua dijun himself. Even with the use of all his magic he had not been able to undo her shield. To this, he wondered what exactly had she been doing in the mortal realm for the past thousand years.
As he ruminated on this, feng jiu' aura grew and then shrank back. He turned back to watch what she was doing. Slowly he could feel her aura concentrate around the body in front of her. It grew red and more robust with its concentration around donghua's mortal form. Si ming knelt there in worry and surprise to what feng jiu was doing. Steadily, the power that surrounded her grew more and more until suddenly, a bright azure blue point of light appeared on wen changs' forehead. The blue light started expanding rapidly over his whole body as si ming watched. When the blue had fully taken over the man's body, something must have sealed inside the power, for the blue light then shone a bright golden that overcame the entire room.
While si ming had watched this happen from the outside, feng jiu had overseen the whole process completely. When she had felt his spirit break free from the chains, the azure blue light of his primordial spirit had appeared. It had started taking control of its master's body. As his spirit took more and more control, it began pushing out feng jius'. Receding her power in favor of his own, she opened her eyes to see the process getting completed when finally, his spirit had taken full control of the body and embedded itself fully within its master.
As both of them now watched the glowing golden light, it gradually dimmed out leaving behind the body of a man with an eternally handsome face, glorious silver-white hair, and clothed in a perpetually purple robe. The former ruler of heaven and earth, the unifier of the realms and the true master of the universe, donghua dijun has returned. Seeing donghua's handsome face again, feng jiu felt a sense of -relief spread through her that she had been craving, for so long now. But she needed to make sure of his health first. Checking that his vitals and essence were all good now, she moved to check on his spirit. As she neared his spirit, she saw it going growing with a healthy glow and vitality which she needed really badly right now to reassure herself of his heath.
Si ming felt an ache in his cheeks from all the hanging around his jaw had been doing today. At that particular moment, what had left his jaw unhinged again was the appearance of donghua's original body in front of him. He stared for so long at dijun's face that feng jiu had to shake him physically to get his attention. Finally, when he looked up at her, she calmly said, "now that I have your attention, listen to me carefully, si ming. I have undone the spirit eviscerating spell on dijun's heart but his spirit is still recovering to its original form albeit at a very rapid pace. This will take a little while. And till the moment he has recovered to the full power of his spirit, you are in charge of the safety of his body and not to leave this shield under any circumstance. No one and I mean, absolutely no one can undo this shield other than me and dijun. So, no matter what happens, you are to stay in there until his body recovers."
"Understood, your highness. If I may dare ask where are you going to induce such a responsibility on my part?""mo yuan needs my help right now. He is struggling to contain the rise of the demons alone."
"I understand, your highness."
Taking back her aura, she centered it around her own spirit to regulate the flow of her powers. As she stood up to leave, she turned back to face si ming once more.
"one more thing, si ming, make sure he doesn't leave this shield unrecovered. He will make it hard on you but get one thing straight, I can protect you from his wrath if your anger him but if anything happens to him, not a single soul in all of the realms, would be able to save you from mine."
With that instruction out of the way, she disappeared, leaving behind a scared out of his mind si ming.
