The next four days went by in a swirl of exploration and merriment. Feng jiu had enjoyed these past four days lost in donghua's arms while they roamed the island all day long, and relishing in his love all night long. Often, she coaxed him to play along with her. Even if he felt reluctant, donghua never refused feng jiu. For him, seeing her innocent and lively nature, was all the satisfaction he needed. He continued to tease her to no end. Every time she pouted, he would place a soft kiss on her pursed lips and she would forget whatever it was that had made her angry. Slowly, they had come to their last day on sarai xingfu. They both knew that their time alone was not ending and they would just be shifting to a new location but feng jiu still felt a little melancholy at the thought of leaving this place for now. In her mind, they had found so many new things about each other here, had a lot of novel experiences together and made a boatload of memories on this island, that she was reluctant to let them go. At the same time, she felt giddy that they would be coming back here for their wedding banquet.
A reminder of the wedding banquet made her realize the urgent correspondence she needed to send to her mother and Zhong lin regarding their marriage since she had put this off for too long, by then. So, she moved to the study and sat down to write to her mother everything she wanted to include in the wedding and her requirements for it. She wrote in detail about each of the specifications from the rituals to their wedding attire, to the decorations. She also wrote down the names of the guests she wanted to invite from their side for the wedding. Then she went on to describe sarai xingfu and her plans for it. Writing down every little detail, she could think of, she sent the letter to her mother.
Afterward, she began writing Zhong lin's letter. First, she mapped out the specifications and requirements, she had conveyed to her mother. Then she explained to him about sarai xingfu and its significance to them. She wrote all this with one purpose in mind, she wanted Zhong lin to make this place and this castle comfortable for donghua. She penned further, telling him to move, adjust, change, and adapt everything according to donghua's taste and preference. She described how the island worked and how he can ask the island for anything natural that he wanted. The island was not only self-sufficient but also provided for its masters every need. She wished that Zhong lin would make the island suitable and compatible with donghua's every need and want. Jotting down everything she could remember at that point she sent the letter off to Zhong lin.
Done with the letters, she went in search of donghua only to find him writing his own set of letters in the connected study. Feng jiu moved to his side and settled down beside him, waiting for him to finish. Donghua watched from the corner of his eyes as she came and quietly sat down beside her. He was already done with his letter but pretended to continue. He wanted to see how long it would take for her to become restless and her inner fox to come out. And what he thought came true. After a few minutes of sitting down silently beside him, she gradually lost her patience and became restless to get back into his arms. Since he was still busy, she couldn't distract him from his work but at the same time, she was craving for the attention she had gotten used to in the past few days.
Feng jiu came up with an idea to achieve her target without causing him much disturbance. Closing her eyes, she transformed into her fox form. though, this fox she had changed into was significantly smaller than the true spiritual fox that she had shown in the valley to others. She had transfigured herself into this little fox form to ensure ease in her further ministrations. Now, like a little fox, she slowly slid herself into donghua's lap and settled herself there. Snuggling her face into the parting of his robe, she rested her face against his sternum and sighed in contentment.
Donghua carefully noted his little fox's every move as she slowly made a home in his lap. He knew she wouldn't be able to stay away for long but this little act of hers had been far too amusing for him. a huge smile spread across his face when she snuggled her face inside his robe. He heard her sigh and felt the contentment radiating off her. Turning to his letters, he sent them off before his hand started to pet his little fox. Satiated under his caressing hands, the fox began to purr with each movement. Donghua could no longer control his amusement and gave a loud chuckle. With an affectionate teasing voice, he asked, "are you enjoying this, my little fox?" he heard her purr louder in agreement and if that wasn't enough, she swished around all nine of her tails, in happy little swags. The gliding red tails held donghua's eyes in veneration. Even smaller than their usual size, the red nine tails was an exemplary sight to behold. Donghua appreciated the beauty of her swinging foxtails while he asked, "are you ready to go to bihai cangling, little fox?" hearing this, feng jiu dragged out her head and faced up towards donghua. She nodded her little fox head in excitement, blinking her beautiful raven eyes at him. donghua scratched her under the ears as he spoke, "shall we go now?" the little fox leaned her head into his hand as he heard one word in his mind, "yes."
