At the ruoshi river bank, when feng jiu and Zhong lin appeared no one was present. The area was completely empty as far as Zhong lin could see. It seemed like they were the first ones to arrive. He turned his head sideways to ask feng jiu for further commands but found no one beside him. looking all around him, he couldn't find her. When he was starting to get anxious about her absence, a voice called out in his head, "I am still here, Zhong lin. Stop worrying."

Hearing feng jiu's voice calmed him down a little. Now, with a much calmer mind, he analyzed the situation and said, "you have placed an invisibility spell on yourself, haven't you?"

"and you too, zhong lin. Even though it seems like this place is empty that might not be true. We cannot take unnecessary risks and be discovered before the right moment. So, I have placed both of us under invisibility spells." Feng jiu answered in zhong lin's mind.

"I understand. What do you need me to do next, your majesty?" he asked referring to the next set of commands he was yet to receive from her.

"create an undetectable, invisibility layer just below the ruoshi river's water surface. Make sure that the spell encompasses the entire river. We are going to have a lot of people to hide." She commanded.

Heeding to his orders, Zhong lin turned towards the flowing river and set to work. It took him quite a while to complete his task and create an indistinct layer of invisibility right under the streaming water of ruoshi. After he was done with his task, he turned back towards the river bank and saw, now visible, feng jiu sitting in the lotus position.

As he took in the view ahead of him, he noticed the difference in the very air around him. it felt like a totally new atmosphere. Zhong lin scrutinized his environment very carefully before coming to the conclusion that feng jiu had created a completely new force field at the river bank. He waited silently until she was done with her task. the moment she opened her eyes and stood up, he asked, "if I may ask, your majesty, what is the need for this force field you have created?"

Feng jiu made to answer his question but was interrupted by the arrival of the celestials. First appeared ye hua and bai qian, after that came si ming and the other high immortals and simultaneously the celestial army started appearing.

Bai qian and ye hua swiftly moved towards feng jiu the minute they arrived. But before anyone could greet or bow to the other party, bai qian asked feng jiu, "why in the heavens, have you created this complex force field here? Are we not going to war with the demons anymore?"

And I was going to answer that very same question of Zhong lin's when you arrived. But now that you and uncle ye hua are here. I think it would be more appropriate if uncle ye hua were to explain the necessity of this shield. "

She faced ye hua with an expectant look. He gave a short nod of his head and explained, "we already know that the demon army has congregated itself near this very bank. So, it is imperative that we maintain caution and do not reveal our presence to them until required. What you see is simply a precaution that feng jiu had taken." Turning to feng jiu he asked, "although, I do not understand why did you create a whole new force field for this. secrecy could have been maintained with the use of a simple invisibility spell, as well. So, why employ such a complicated spell instead?"

It seemed like they were surrounded by a glowing vaccum. In further explanation, she said, "while what you said is correct that is only a part of it. with so many people coming in right now, it would have been difficult to cover everyone under one invisibility spell. I created this force field not just to keep all the immortals hidden from the view of demons but also to allow an easy gathering for everyone. This way any immortal appearing anywhere on these banks would be transported straight inside this force field. Not only would it facilitate the ease of access but would also reduce the chances of anyone being apprehended midway. At the same time, I have a plan that requires everyone to be assembled at this particular point."
