Chapter8: Wolves

Massimo's wolf was bigger than the five wolves that's now hissing and growling. Alam kong malakas si Massimo, but knowing that there are five enemies. Dehado siya.

Pinanood ko ang paglapa niya sa mga sumusugod sa kaniya. His sharp canine pierced into the wolf's flesh, blood spurted everywhere causing me to gasp frantically. Massimo whined in pain when a sudden attack from his back occured, blood drift from his neck when the other wolf bite his fury neck. He again whimpered, his breathing was now heavy and pained. He's now laying against the ground with a bloody fur. The five wounded rwolfs were again ready to attack him. Nilamon ng kaba ang sistema ko ng mapagmasdan ko ang kalagayan ni Massimo. I need to do something!

Mabilis akong tumakbo kung nasasaan ang nakahandusay na si Massimo. Marahan kong hinaplos ang puti niyang balahibo na nabahidan ng pulang likido. I stared at the five wolves with full of rage. They're now pacing closer to us.

"Don't you ever come near us you beasts!" i raised my arms and in a fleeting moment the debris and sharp stones were floating into the thin air pointing at them. I'm shocked at the very moment but they're not, they didn't even stop from walking as they did a great leap to cover the distance between us, but before they could even reached us with their blistering movements the floating debris and sharp stones were pierced into their flesh like daggers. Blood was everywhere as they continue to cry out in a high-pitched whimperings and wails.

I can feel the energy flowing inside my veins. I took a glimpse of my shaking hands. What just happened? What did i do! Am i a monster?! I turn my gaze to Massimo's wolf figure, his breathing is heavy and ragged. I caressed his soft fur.

"You'll be okay..." i whispered in a very soothing voice that i could ever muster to calm him up. He whimpered in pain. So i again caressed his fury face. Hinalikan ko ang kaniyang noo.

What to do now?! Patay na ang mga rouges and I don't know how i did that. I can't carry Massimo all the way to their house.

While thinking, nakaagaw ng aking pansin ang kwintas na umiilaw sa aking dib-dib. Pinagmasdan ko ang sobrang liwanag na pagkaasul ng kwintas. Hinawakan ko iyon at naramdaman ang kakaibang enerhiya na nagmumula rito. Mas hinigpitan ko ang hawak dito at hinaplos ko ang nanginginig na katawan ni Massimo. Napaatras ako ng may lumabas na asul na ilaw mula sa aking palad. What the...I touched him again and then grabbed the amulet in my chest. Huminga ako ng malalim at marahang pumikit. I hope it'll gonna work...

I can feel the energy flowing in my body as i keep my hands against the amulet and i think, it's working! Sa pagandar ng oras at patuloy na umaagos ang enerhiya sa katawan ko'y nagsisimulang bumibigat ang aking paghinga, nakakaramdam ako ng lubos na pagkapagod...ilang oras pa'y hindi ko na kinaya, naramdaman ko ang pagbagsak nang aking nanlalambot na katawan sa malamig na lupa...narinig ko ang sigaw ni Massimo ngunit hindi ko magawang imulat ang aking mabibigat na talukap.

"Avyanna,can you hear me?!"

"Avyanna!"

I need to open my eyes. Massimo's calling my name, i need to woke up...but I'm too tired, I'm so drained and i just wanted to sleep. I can still hear his voice pleading for me to woke up, but i just couldn't...

I can hear the birds singing sending me back to sleep but i refused to, I blocked the sun rays that's hitting my eyes with the back of my hands. I shut my eyes closed,squeezing it as i tried to adjust it from the blinding sunlight. I wonder where I'am? My room doesn't smell like this...it has a musky strong scent that makes my head dizzy, It's so addicting. I inhaled deeply trying to filled my nostrils with the scent. I flinched when i heard a groan from the bottom of the bed. I opened my eyes widely and turned my gaze to the guy who's sitting pretty in a chair while observing my every movement. The sight of him brings back the memories from last night...last night i feel powerful, last night i tried to save him.
