Liam's POV

I ran to the desk asking for Sora they refused at first but I showed them my badge. And they told me she was actually in surgery. A nurse showed me the waiting room where the family should stay. I entered the room and I saw Sora's brothers, one were with the hospital outfit with a syringe on his right arm. The other one was walking around the room. Both of them looked at me and The one who was on the chair asked me "who exactly are you? You were the one with our little sis right?"

"Yes! I'm Liam Black. I'm the one who's in charge of your family case" none her brothers looked impressed. Their facial expression were neutral.
The one who's who was walking around and held Sora in the old building spoke first "I'm Samuel, nice to meet you! I'm sorry about my brother Sean but he's like that! Just give him some time" he smile at me.

I smiled back "Don't worry I understand him."  My mind was all over the place I don't know how to act and patience wasn't one of my qualities. After what seemed like an eternity the doctor came to us.

"Are you Miss Laurent relatives?" He asked eyeing us and the papers he has in his hands.

"Yes We are her Oldest brother, and this is officer Black." One of her brothers say rushing by the doctor's side.

"We manage to take out the bullets but she in a coma... we did everything we could do. Now it's up to her and her will to wake up and live."  He continued "you can still see her and talk to her, she'll hear you and maybe it will help her recover faster. Any questions?"
We stayed quiet for a minute. "Well I guess that's all for now" the doctor said before leaving.

I told her to trust me but I couldn't protect her it's all my fault! Her brothers were still quiet and I could feel the tension.

The one with the hospital gown (Sean I think) went in Sora's room and Samuel followed him.
I sat there replying the scene in my head thinking how I could've turn the situation...

I spent an hour thinking when Samuel came back "you can go and see her now. Sean went to his own room" he said softly, I barely could hear him.
"Thank you."
I opened the door lightly... and there she was. Laying down in the hospital bed with many machines beeping on her side. I went by her side and hold her hand.

"Sora... I- I'm sorry!" I started to cry. "I don't want to lose you. Shit I don't want to lose anyone dear to me! You're my family... and... and you'll always be my family!" I looked at her soft and beautiful face "I'm sounding pathetic right" I chuckled. "I know you can hear me... just don't leave me please. You have to wake up! Do it for your brothers... Sean, Samuel and Simon. Do it for your mother who's alive somewhere. Do it for me please."

I spent two weeks like a zombie... I worked on the case, go home and take a shower and spend the night at the hospital with Sora. I suggest that Sean and Samuel come live with me for a while. Like that the could spend time with Simon and help me with the case. Simon was really agitated these days because he missed Sora and we couldn't bring a child at the hospital to see her.

My coworkers were worried about me... I'm grateful for their concern but it's none of their business. Daisy, Damien and Julian dropped by the hospital sometimes because the wanted to see Sora. Lucy well... was being Lucy. She tried many times to come at my house but I refused because the boys were there and I didn't want them to feel awkward knowing Lucy's temper.

On the third week I took a day off and spent the whole day at the hospital. Daisy was volunteer to watch after Simon so Sean and Samuel could come with me. I was putting new flowers in the vase beside her bed when I heard a faint noise "Liam... Liam" my head snapped at her and there she was smiling at me and looking at me with those beautiful eyes. I ran by her side "DOCTOR! SEAN! SAMMY!! SHE'S AWAKE!"
