Violet POV

I open my eyes slowly but was greeted by a bright light. Am I in heaven? Why is it so bright?  I block the light with my hands from shining into my eyes. I adjust my eyes to my surroundings. Am I in the hospital? Then my eyes landed on a familiar tall figure standing by the windows, that was closing the curtains, so no source of light could enter. As the figure steps closer to me, I finally realize who it was.

"Hey, you are finally awake," Luke says with a smile, his eyes were soft and relief.

I gave a weak as I try to sit up but my body felt weak and fragile. Lucas rush over to help me sit up. He holds my back to ensure I wouldn't fall as I raise mt upper body. Then he places a pillow against the headboard of the bed so I could rest on it. I smile at his caring gesture.

"I'm going to inform the doctor that you are awake okay?" he says and he walks out of the room.

Soon a doctor in his mid-thirties comes into my room with a clipboard in his hand. His hair was comb back with gel making himself look presentable. As soon as he saw me, he flashes a smile, showing his perfectly white teeth.

"Good morning Miss Grace," The doctor says. "I'm Dr. Greg, I'm your doctor"

"How long have I been asleep?" I asked, almost is a whisper.

I cough at the dryness of my throat. Lucas quickly walked towards my bedside table and gave me a plastic bottle of water for me to drink. I nod as I gulped almost the whole bottle. Feeling satisfied as the water ran down my throat.

"You have been asleep for 1 week Miss Grace." My eyes widen from what he just said, making me almost spit out my water.

"What happen to me?" I asked, not remembering how I ended up in the hospital.

"Ah, so you aren't able to remember what happened?" He asked and I nod

"It's okay, However, your health is improving, your wound is almost healed but you need to continue cleaning it every now and then. We also need you to stay for another few days before you can be discharged as we could monitor your health further." before I could say anything, a ringtone interrupts.

Dr. Greg pulls out his phone. He excuses himself and went out of the room. Then a familiar figure walks in the room. My face lights up when I recognize who it was.

"I called your brother," Lucas says as he rubs the back of his neck.

"Jacky!" I shout but not loud enough for the whole hospital to hear me.

Jacob run towards me and engulf me in a hug. He wraps his giant arms around my neck tightly and I wrap my arms around his waist. I buried my face in his chest. Allowing the smell of his perfume entering my nostrils. I enjoy the embrace while it lasted.

It has been a long time since I met Jacob. The last time I saw him was at Dad's house and well we were forced to be separated. So I didn't get to say a proper goodbye. No words can explain how much I miss him.

We pulled each other from the embrace. He places his hand on my cheeks and presses his lips on my forehead gently. As he stepped back, I realize a pair of eyes were staring at me. I turn my head towards the door. There he was, the familiar pair of blue eyes was looking at me with a blank facial expression but there was hope in his eyes. What was he hoping for? He was leaning against the door frame, crossing his arms. He was wearing his usual black outfit.

"The doctor told me you will be discharged within three days," Jacob says, making me break my eye contact with Blake and I nod at his statement.

"I'm bringing you home when you discharge," He demands.
