I coughed softly as I flopped over. We had washed up on the shore, the wreckage of what had been the mech scattered around us. I suddenly jerked up.

Why am I laying around when someone could be hurt?

I furiously picked my way through the metal and random items like a coffee cup.

"Gwen!" A voice shouted. I was about to go to it when I spotted a hand  sticking out of the sand.

"Ah! Zombie! Zombie!" I yelped as it twitched. A figure rose from the sand, I toured from the sides as the hand reached to ether temple.

That's it. CLUNK!

I knocked over the attacker promptly with the old pot that was conveniently beside me.

"No, no, Gwen that's Zane!" Kai ran over to where Zane was blinking rapidly.

"Oh...sorry." I dropped the pot.

"You okay buddy?" Cole asked Zane.

"I am okay." He sat up again.

Kai helped him up quickly. "Great, because the mech's destroyed and you're the one with the emergency first aid kit."

"Why? What happened?" They quickly led us to the edge of the water.

There was a cough. I gasped, Lloyd was lying on the sand with Wu, Jay, and Nya beside him. He had a nasty gash on his head.

"Oh dear." Was all I could say as Zane opened up his chest like it was nothing and pulled a first aid kit out. Along with a slip of paper, he handed it to me.

"I told you I age a water proof area." He nodded to the letter.

I scowled at it. "Honestly Nana I think that it would have been better if this thing got destroyed."

Zane ripped off a piece of his gi and dipped it in the water and started cleaning the wound. Making Lloyd hiss in pain.

I sat boredly and began drawing with a stick the the sand while Zane patched up Lloyd.

I barely noticed he had finished until Zane was standing over my drawing, examining it.

"That's very nice."

I looked down. A detailed drawing of Nana was now in the sand. "That's my Nana."

"May I?" He gestured to the stick. I handed it to him.

He began trailing it through the sand. His brow furrowed in concentration as he tried to draw a face. I giggled as it started to look more like an amoeba.

"I'm sorry, I'm not very good at drawing in the sand." He laughed.

"Who is that supposed to be." I leaned over.

"You."

"That's...thoughtful." It's not a very attractive drawing if me. Is my nose that warped. My fingers flew to the feature.

"Like I said, the picture in my mind is much better than the execution." Zane assured me.

I shook my head. Zane glanced at me. "Draw me."

I looked at him. "What?"

"Draw me."

I took the stick and glanced at him. Before starting. The stick dragged through the wet rocks as I started with a jawline. I became lost in his face as I tried to get every detail right. I hadn't even realized a piece of his face had fallen off revealing the metal framing and wires underneath. I captured it all as best I could in the animated look I had to go for with sand drawing.

In the end I had a little Zane in the sand.

"It looks beautiful." His hand instinctively ran over the side of his face where the metal was revealed.

I studied him. "W-why didn't you tell me you were a robot?"

He sighed heavily, crouching down. "I don't know...people find it...unusual. I've had more than one potential partners decide they didn't want to be with a robot."

He looked at the picture. "You know, many people think that because I am...a man made product I cannot feel love. But that is not true. I can feel just as well as you do."

I breathed in sharply. "Can you feel it now?"

He glanced at me.

I stared into his eyes. "Love, can you feel it now?"

"I..."

"Zane! Gwen! Come on, we need to get moving!" I glanced up to see Kai waving us over.

"We have to go." Zane said without much enthusiasm as he stood, he helped me to my feet and we followed the ninja farther into the island.

"How on earth did your grandma manage to get ahold of one of the pieces of these general's mech's?" Cole sputtered as he got a branch to the face. We were sneaking not so stealthily into the generals base camp.

Wu shook his head. "What did I tell you about stealth? Be one with the elements! Lighter footsteps Kai! Stop breathing so loud Jay! And Cole....shut up."

Kai tried hard to lighten his feet but only ended up falling over. Jay held his breath until his face turned an unnatural purple and Cole looked offended.

Wu sighed as his students just ended up arguing and tripping loudly into the underbrush.

"Honestly, you call yourselves ninja!" Wu huffed.

"I mean...." Kai gestured at his gi. "We are aren't we?"

"Not with stealth like that!" Wu whacked him smartly in the head before marching ahead. Kai fixed his hair with a scowl and followed.

"So did Zane confess his love or did you?" Nya asked.

I was trying to focus on making my footsteps quieter and tripped on a root as she said that.

"W-what do you mean?" I squeaked glancing at Zane.

"Don't worry about him, he's talking with Kai he won't be able to hear a thing." Nya waved her hand.

I kept one eye on them as I turned my attention back to Nya. "I..we...didn't...no ones said anything!" I stumbled out.

"Huh." Nya said thinking.

"Well someone's going to soon." She flashed me a smile before skipping ahead, leaving me shocked after her.
