Catori's POV:

Once situated in the pack life has become rather pleasant, being in my new role as Luna has shown me that my capacity for learning and adapting is much greater than I anticipated. It hasn't been very difficult to adjust to the paper work and Alpha's dealings with other packs in the region thanks to my close work with uncles.

"Darlin' Would you like a cup of coffee? I'm about to get one for myself." Easton smiles lovingly as he waits for my reply "Mmm.. Not right now Babe, thank you. Did you know the land you're leasing to law enforcement has an almost expired lease on it? and Alpha Cain from the Dusk Moon pack has sent a formal request to come visit next week in regards to his daughter searching for her mate." I keep thumbing through the stack of paper work filing it as we sign or deal with whatever is needed.

"Yup, most of my dealings are digital these days but we keep hard copies as well to ensure that nothing is lost or corrupted, he'll be coming later this month rather than next week." I look up granting him a cheeky smile. "Glad to know."

Mornings are my time to get a little more rest while Easton is out training, by the time he finishes I've got breakfast made then we do our office work together before I head out for my late morning training with Lance.

Several warriors coming from the training grounds pass me by, it still feels exciting to see them nod in a quick bow as we cross paths. "Good Morning gentlemen" I say with a smile continuing on my way, spotting Lance "I think I'd like to warm up in my fur with a run around the pack grounds. What do you think?" he nods "That's an excellent idea Cat, in fact that gives us a chance to view the guards and cement our knowledge of what the territory looks like."

I shift promptly leaving my chair behind as we head towards the outskirts at a comfortable trot, sniffing out bunnies and other small wildlife. Deer keep clear of us as we're not being silent, it's more of a "field trip" for me. Lance is still in his flesh form but can easily keep pace with me and most other werewolves, his endurance is amazing. Another perk of being Lycan.

As we circle around the territory he introduces me to each of the pair guards we come across. "Lance, why are they in pairs? Each post has two guards that seem to be in sink with each other." I scan our surroundings, East Texas is beautiful so wooded and breezy. "Well as you can see there's a bigger stronger warrior and by his side there's always a smaller slimmer warrior they work as a team in case one needs to run for assistance while the other becomes a barrier as the rest of the pack comes up for reenforcement. They play on each other's strengths and weaknesses so our boundaries are safer than the average pack guards."

We continue on our way heading south almost reaching the last pair of guards when Lance suddenly comes to a full halt "Cat, follow close behind me there's a weak scent of rogues thats reaching us from just across the way, I'm sure the guard's haven't caught it yet. They're not on our territory yet." I nod and quickly stay as silent and close to him as his shadow. Linking the guards ahead to keep an eye out.

Just having reached them there's a commotion about 50 meters from our border a female running at break neck speed heading directly towards us carrying something in her snout. Close behind her are several male rogues snarling and biting at her hind legs as she kicks one in the face barely keeping her balance. 3-2-1 She comes barreling past our scented border, one of the males skids right into our territory as well but before he can continue the guards take him out, the other two males stay just beyond the line snarling and pacing franticly as they drool and bark their eyes red and their fur unkept with an over powering stench. They snap their teeth but slowly back away into the tree line behind them.
