Shion went her way as usual to Konohagakure's University where she gave literature and history lessons. She was one of the most well-known professors of her time and she enjoyed the life she was having.

"You're cutting more sections?" she said to her superior in a meeting regarding the fund cuts of the Literature Department. "Then what else am I going to teach?"

"We will find you a group, Shion -sama." Her superior said in a neutral tone.

"This isn't only a matter of who am I going to teach. I'm a literature and history professor. What if you put me in a math group? Or a science group? I'm no expert in those topics."

"She's right. Every professor here has its expertise" Shikamaru said in a bored tone. "I teach philosophy and you can't make me teach sports. We have to ensure the education of the next generation and this isn't the right way."

"I understand your point professor Nara, but unfortunately, the decision had been made." The superior said while dismissing the meeting. Shion got out of the room upset, but she knew that she couldn't let that anger take the best of her.

"What a waste of time" she said to herself.

"It's such a drag indeed" Shikamaru said with a sigh.

"Oi, how did it go?" said a pale man while approaching them with a fake smile.

"Meh, just as usual." Shikamaru said.

"Horrible" Shion commented. "How about you?"

"I just finished doing an art exposition at the main theatre. The other artist paints were nice, but lacked some originality. However the judges are dumb to notice those details."

Shikamaru face palmed himself. "Anyway, let's go get some lunch. Ino's probably waiting for us at Chouji's restaurant."

"Oh today's the get together?" Shion asked.

"Yea, wanna come?" Sai asked. "Or you're too busy pretending that you have another meeting in other place?"

"Well at least I don't fake my emotions whenever I talk to someone." Shion replied.

"I'll take that as a yes so let's keep going." Shikamaru said while urging them to keep walking.

After a while the tree arrived at Chouji's restaurant. It was specialized in the many varieties of ramen but alto had a small touch of international cuisine. Shikamaru was the first to enter and was already looking for Ino who already texted him the table they were seated.

"Over here, Shikamaru!" Ino said while taking of her glasses and waving her right arm so he could spot her. She was seating with Chouji, and Sakura. "Sai! Shion! Have a sit guys!"

"Shion? You finally came!" Sakura said while giving her a warm hug.

"Hey it isn't like I've been on a long vacation trip." Shion said.

"Well you surely are hard to hang out with. Even more than Sakura" Ino said while caressing her hair that was adorned with flowers.

"Well, that's what happens when you run a hospital." Sakura said.

"That's right, how's the mental clinique doing?" Chouji asked.

"Well we already have the building and the equipements with all the permissions ready. Right now we're choosing the right staff to work with us." The Haruno girl explained while drinking her cup of tea. "So, how about you guys?"

"Well the Flower Shop is increasing. We started to make deliveries around the city." Ino said.

"And I finished my latest art exhibition" Sai commented.

"Shikamaru and I are still working as college professors." Shion said. "Although they want to cut funds of the program we're in."

"That's awful to hear" Ino said with concern.
"I really doubt your superiors are going to let you two without a job. You're the most well-known professors of Konohagakure's University." Sakura said as a certain dark haired police men approached them.

"No way" Ino said while covering her mouth with her hand. "You finally made have time to have lunch with us!"

"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura said in shock as she greeted her boyfriend with a small kiss. "This is unusual, what happened?"

"Two things. First, lunch" he replied while seating beside the pinkette woman and joined the group.

They had lunch together and talked about how their lives changed during the last 8 years. Things were going great with many of them while for others were just having small life problems with their careers. But over all they had a good time laughing and sharing their jokes and life stories.

Suddenly, Sakura watched how the Uchiha remained silent for a while. "Sasuke-kun?" She asked with concern as everyone started to say their goodbyes and continue with their daily routines.

"There's something I need to ask you" he said while staring at her intensively. The Haruno immediately knew that it was something important so the couple quickly managed to have a moment for themselves.

"What is it? Is something wrong?"

"Naruto needs your help." He said, not so sure if it was the best way to start the conversation. He noticed how she gave him a questionable look.

"If you need money to get him out of prison again..."

"He needs a DNA test."

"For what? As far as we know he hasn't hooked up with anyone yet."

Sasuke sighed. "Look there's this girl..."

"Oh Lord not again..."

"Sakura, this is different.."

"Sasuke-kun I can't keep up with this. Naruto needs to learn the consequences of what he did back then..." she said as they kept on walking.

"Sakura..."

"Besides, he hasn't got a stable job and seems like he will never learn. If he only listened to me back then, maybe he would've been able to raise his daughter on his own!"

"GEEZ STOP BEING SO ANNOYING WOMAN!" He said in rage as the pinkette stood in shock. "That's why I need the test. I believe he has his last chance to redeem himself but first I gotta confirm if the little girl he has to take care from now own is truly HIS!!"

The Haruno watched him in shock for a moment before closing her eyes and making a huge sigh.

"Alright Sasuke-kun. First explain me everything. Then we'll see what I can do." She replied.
