"How many times I have to say that I didn't do it!?!?! I was at the meeting with all of you when it happened!" Neji said frustrated as the council members of the clan continued with the accusations.

"Neji-sama, we know you had your grudges against the philosophy of the Hyuga clan. Therefore, it's common for us to have our suspicions." One of the men said as Neji sighed in frustration.

"And what is your prove to make that determination? I am a member of the main family of the clan and I've been preparing myself to lead it when the time comes. The moment we're having right now, with all this kidnapping, is critical for our survival. I didn't expected to be like this, no one did... But if there's someone over qualified to take the lead is me."

"We understand your position and we do not underestimate your capacity, Neji" said the eldest of the councilors. "But as far as we know, you were disqualified from the main branch of the family for your questionable behavior on your youth with that....girl."

Neji clenched his fist. "What I have with Tenten is not of your concern. Back then, my younger self would care about what you will think but today I'm a different man. A man with enough bravery to say that it's a shame you all think of her that way."

"This isn't about her Neji. Right now, we don't care who you relate yourself with since the original deal was to marry you with Hinata-sama. But we know how that turned out years ago..."

Neji's jaw dropped. "So that's why you always wanted to control our lives?!?!"

"That doesn't matter now. What's important here is that Hanabi-sama will take the lead on the Hyuga clan, and that is final."

"Final?!? But she's implicated in the kidnapping!!"

"It was proven that she had nothing to do with the kidnapping. Only some of our ex employees were in it."

"Under who's orders?!? I can't believe you're actually doing this..." Neji replied in shock. After a while the meeting was dismissed and he left with rage. He needed some air to process everything.

Hanabi saw how he left the building as she entered. They didn't exchange looks or any kind of words. She just continued her way up to the main office of the company.

She saw how everyone greeted her with respect, especially the councilmen. After a while she entered her office where only the oldest of the counselors was already waiting for her as she closed the door.

"Welcome, new leader of the Hyuga clan." He said as he handed her a cup of wine, which she accepted with a smile.

"I guess everything turned out excellent." She said as she stood in front of him in a seductive way, making her dress show more than it should. "You did a great job."

"And now I shall receive my payment." He said with a grin as she noticed the lustful way he stared at her.

"You will receive it tonight." She said with a grin as he kissed her neck. "I cannot give it to you here...People might see us."

"You're right my dear..." he said as he kissed her deeply. "Then I shall see you tonight."

And with that he left.

Hanabi rolled her eyes in disgust and quickly started to wash her mouth with the rest of the wine as Menma appeared from one of the hidden corners.

"I swear if I have to see you kiss that man again..." he said as she turned around to face him.

"Don't worry, you can take care of him tonight with my men." She said as she ended up drinking her bottle of wine. "I don't think I am capable of sleeping with him again."

"Well, at least your plan is working." He said as he sat down on a chair. "Except for one detail."

"What is it?"

"She's getting on my nerves, love. What are we gonna do with her?" He said in annoyance. "She's always screaming for help and her denial on doing anything is making me loose my patience."

"Then give her her punishment."

"I tried but...." he trailed off. He couldn't say it in front of her.

"But what?" Hanabi asked skeptically. He tried but he couldn't. He couldn't admit that he saw her mother in her and that he was feeling guilty of doing this to her niece.

"But she just...doesn't give up! She keeps going and going and I really don't know what to do." He said in frustration.

Hanabi eyed him for a while. "Well, we can't kill her."

"We cannot, but your men can..." Menma suggested.

"We can't."

Menma noticed her tone in her response. "Why?" He asked without response. "Don't tell me you feel something for her."

"I don't, she's just....." Hanabi trailed off. What should she say? Why she can't kill her? "She's just a bastard of our clan. But they know that she's alive. If I do something to her now, they will take actions against us."

She leaned close to him and kissed him deeply. "Don't worry honey, we'll find a way. She deserves to die...But at the right moment, and at the right time."

"Riiiiiight..." Menma replied. "So, what is your plan?"

"Send her away. Like, real far... Her condition will worsen with time and she will eventually loose her memory so she will forget who she is in the first place."

"Condition?" Menma asked while Hanabi gave him a look that she will explain him later while her assistant knocked on the door to get in.

Menma took is as a cue to go out through the window and follow Hanabi's plan hoping, begging that everything will turn out right.
