I kept on working as usual, but my mind was elsewhere.

"Oi, Naruto! Don't get distracted." Said my supervisor as he walked, inspecting the work we were doing.

"Hai!" I replied as I tried to stop thinking about Himawari's custody case. I wasn't the best at it, but surely I couldn't loose the job before the trial.

Then I heard my phone ringing. I looked around to check if my boss wasn't around and picked it up.

"Hello?"

".....Brother?" He replied as I stood frozen for a moment. After all these years....

"What do you want?" I said coldly.

"Don't speak like that Naruto nii-chan. I just came back-"

"And you haven't changed your ways dattebayo. You bring problems whenever you are around Menma. Now leave me alone!"

I was about to end the call but he insisted.

"Naruto, listen. You haven't been the best guy for a while either so you can't judge my ways. I just came back because I know you have problems, and I just want to help."

"Help? You just want to help? With what?!"

"Stopping Karin from taking Himawari away from us." He said as I stood silent. "Look, I have my ways and I found out about her and what happened to Hinata and Boruto...." he sighed. "And I'm sorry for that..."

"Yeah, now you're sorry. Now you appear. Where were you when I needed you? You just got so caught up into our past and decided to leave."

"Yes, but I want change. She's my niece by blood. And she needs us now."

I stood silent for a while, debating if I should  forgive him for what he did back then. But at the same time, I needed as much help as possible if I wanted to keep Hima with me.

"Fine."

"Good. I'll see you at your house then?"

"You don't need the address right?"

"You dared to ask me that?"

I smirked, "You still haven't changed, dattebayo..."

"You neither."

I hung up and suddenly, I saw my boss glaring at me. He made a motion so I should follow him. I shrugged.

Shit.

The bell rang and she picked up all her stuff. She was happy because she won the audition for becoming Cinderella for the school play.

"You won Hima! Congratulations!" Said Zuko, her new best friend.

"Thanks!" Hima said with a grin as they went outside the school. "I can't wait to tell dad about it dattebane!"

"I bet he'll be happy. Well, I gotta go Hima. Bye!" He said as he went to his mother. Himawari waved him as he left. Then she noticed a young woman getting close to her.

"Himawari, right?" The brunette woman said as Himawari turned around. The small girl immediately got cautious.

"How do you know my name?" Himawari asked.

"Your father asked me to pick you up." She said as she took off her glasses, revealing her pale eyes. "Want to come?"

"Uhhh...how do I know you're telling the truth?"

"Himawari!" Yelled Shino from behind her. Himawari saw how he went beside her and carefully grabbed her shoulder.

"Shino-san. It's been a long time." She said.

"Hanabi-sama. What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Picking up my niece. It's been a while, but I'm authorized since thanks to me, she's been educated in this school." She said calmly. "Besides, Naruto knows about this."

"I need a confirmation from him. You may be paying for her education, but he's her father."

"I can call him now, if you want." She said as she started calling him through her phone. They waited for a while and then he answered.

"Naruto nii-chan!" She said. "Yeah, I'm at her school but Shino-san wants you to confirm that you authorized me to pick her up."

"Papa?" Himawari asked. "Let me talk to him!"

"Oh, you want to talk to him?" Hanabi continued. "Okay then." She passed Shino her phone.

"Hello?" He said.

"Shino! Hi! How you've been dattebayo!?" He said.

"We're good Naruto. Himawari's with me. Is it true that Hanabi-sama will pick her up today?"

"Yeah! Sorry I didn’t tell you before, but as you know I'm busy working at the construction company dattebayo. Tomorrow I'll fill the forms so she can pick her up aswell."

"Fine then, but don't for getting about it." Shino said with a sigh. "Want to speak with Hima?"

"Nah, I'm preparing a surprise for her at home. I don't wanna spill anything to her before the time comes!" He said.

"Oh. She'll go with her then." Shino said as he ended up the call.

"So, can I take her home?" Hanabi said.

"You can. But make sure Naruto fills the form tomorrow." Then he turned to Himawari. "Hima, you have to go with her for today."

"But what about dad?"

"He will see you at home."

Himawari sighed, "Fine."

Then she took Hanabi's hand and they both left.
