Chapter 22

*Shawn's POV*

When Taylor and I got back from our date I could sense something isn't right. When I looked at Taylor, it was easy to see he could sense if too. Just one look at each other and we ran upstairs into Kay's room. When we reached the room, it was nearly empty. And by empty, we mean most of her clothes are gone. That's when we started to look around the house for her.

We looked everywhere except the kitchen. I ran to the kitchen and saw a note on the counter. I picked it up and read it to myself.

Dear Shawn & Taylor,

I'm leaving for a bit. I need to get a fresh start. Just all I do is keep getting hurt here. I'm not blaming it on you guys because it's partially my fault too. But I mean Aaron and I have had so many problems that we both are at fault at, Hayes and I little thing was ruined and now Cam and I. I'll be back before the twins are born but just.....I need a new setting and scene for myself. I need to explore a bit. Again don't blame yourself or anyone else. Because I'm not mad anymore and this was my decision. Don't bother texting or calling or trying to contact me, cause I won't answer. I'm only doing this so I can't be dragged back to home, at least not yet.

Just promise me something.

Never lose each other.

Shawn I see the way you look at Taylor. With so much love and happiness and admiration. You two are completely opposites but at the same time the exact same because you have the same kind of big heart. You both care for others and are the sweetest guys unless someone threatens the ones you love. And Taylor I see the way you watch Shawn. Especially in the morning when you two are cooking together or when we last went bowling together. You truly love him and it shows in your eyes. You two may have rocky paths but you always end up at the sunset because you work it out. And I hope someday to have that. Never lose what you guys have. You both are truly inlove and everyone can see that. I love you guys and thank you for being the brothers I've always wanted. You two can be a bit crazy and overprotective but you've always had my back and protected me. I love you both and I'll see you soon.

Tears started to fall as I read through this. It broke my heart. Especially knowing that I could've stopped her but she's good knows where.

I heard someone coming and turned to see Taylor. He took one look at me and knew what was going on. In an instance, Taylor had his arms wrapped around me as I cried into his shoulder. "She's gone, Taylor. She's gone and I'm a screw up."

"Ssh....ssh. You're not a screw up. Everything will be okay," he said rubbing my back.

"No it won't. I was suppose to protect her and watch her."

"Shawn, baby. It's okay. I promise. You would have to let her go at some point."

"Yeah, some point! A point where I knew she'd be going. Where I can stay in touch with her. Where I can still protect her! But she's gone and missing," I cried harder.

"Baby, she's not missing. She'll come back. She has no where to stay wherever to want. She may has money but it won't last her very long cause she'll have to save money to come back," he reassured.

I nodded but walked away as I grabbed my jacket. "Shawn. Where are you going?"

"The one place I know someone will know a hint on where she's at."
