Tira's P.O.V.
I was talking to my friends a Faith and Voera. 'So he just asked you out like that?' Faith asked in sign language. I nod 'Yes, I think this can work. His sweet, good looking, smart. And his daughter is a very sweet little girl'
'Do you know anything about the baby mama?' Voera said. 'No, I'm going to ask tonight'
'What time is he picking you up?' Faith said. 'At 8. I should get ready now actually.' I look at the clock; it was already 7 o'clock. 'Do you want us to help?' Faith asked. 'No I'll be okay'
We all got up from the couch and walked to the door. 'Text us when you get back' Voera said. They walked out the door, once they got into their cars I closed the door and ran upstairs to get ready.
After doing my hygiene, I curled my hair and put on my red dress that showed my curves, red bottoms heels, lip gloss, studded earrings and a bracelet to match.
Just in time the light flashing of the bell went off. I looked over myself in the mirror before grabbing my sweater and clutch. I walked down the steps to the front door.
Defonte P.O.V.
I check my breath before ringing the door bell. A few seconds later she opened the door with a big smile. I looked at her up and down while biting my lip.
Ma had curves for days, her butt was big and her tittes wasn't to big nor small. It was just right. Even though she doesn't have a flat stomach, she still look beautiful.
"You look beautiful" I said. 'Thank you' she said. I know a little bit of sign language, when I was younger I had to do it for my sister. When she moved away I didn't need it anymore but I still knew some stuff.
I look up to see Tira typing on her phone, after she was done she showed me what she wrote. "You look handsome your self. I hope we are not going to stand here and look at each other all night, my feet are starting to hurt" I read out loud. 'Thank you. Umm we are going to leave right now' I said in sign language. She looked kind of looked impressed, I just smirked and grabbed her hand. We walked to the car, I open the passenger side for her. she got in.
I closed the door and jogged to the other side. I got in and immediately started the engine. I turn to face Tira, she was typing on her phoned before she showed me "Where are we going?" I read out loud.
"We are going to a fancy restaurant first then walk around the park while eating ice cream"
She smirked. I drove out of her drive way and proceeded down the road.
When we arrived at the restaurant I parked in a space that's near the building. Valet parking is so fucking expensive. Tira called me cheap a couple of times, but I just chuckled.
The door man opened the door for us. I allow Tira to walk in first to show how good of a gentleman I am and to see that ass jiggle. "Hello how may I be at your service" the hostess said. "I have a reservation under Defonte"
"Okay sir you can follow me" she grabbed to menus and walked in front of us. I grabbed Tira's hand and followed the lady. We went into the back where its away from the live music.
I pulled the chair out for Tira, she thanked me and sat down. I went on my side and sat down, the hostess put the menus in front of us. "Have a nice meal" she said then left.
Tira's P.O.V.
This is a really fancy restaurant, he wasn't lying about taking me here. I'll give him points for that and being a gentleman.
I take out my phone and typed 'This is really nice' I showed it to him. 'It's a little something to show my appreciation' he used sign language. 'So you do know sign language.'
'Yeah I know enough to get me through the day, when I was younger my older sister was deaf. So I had to learn sign language because no one in the house would. When she left for college some of it faded away' he signed.
'Wow, do you know where your sister is now?'
He shook his head 'After she left, its like she went ghost. From time to time she would send christmas cards to me saying that she's sorry and that she love me. But I'm just glad she's somewhere safe'
'What's her name?' I took a sip of my water. 'Tanya Wilson. Do you have any siblings?'
I nod 'I have a brother in the the military right now. After my mom died I moved in with him, we're really close'
'Where is he stationed?'
'I think Texas' a waitress walk over to us with a pen and pad in her hand. I couldn't figure what she was saying because she was talking to fast. But I did know she was trying to flirt with Defonte, Luckly he wasn't paying any mind to her. 'Do you want anything to drink?' Defonte signed.
'I'll stick with water' he smiled at me and looked back up at the waitress.
She was cheesing from ear to ear, I rolled my eyes at her and looked at the menu. The waitress finally walked away. 'She's crushing on you' I signed. he chuckled and shook his head 'Shes a little to young for me'
'How old are you?'
'I'm 25, how old are you?'
'I'm 23, about to turn 24 on March 3rd'
'That's interesting my birthday is on the same day'
I got excited 'Really?'
He laughed 'No I'm just playing, it's actually on July 9th. You should of seen your face' he wipes the fake tears away.
I rolled my eyes and flicked him off. 'That's not funny'
'I know, and I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?' He did the puppy dog eyes. God his so cute I just want to take him home with me. 'yes I forgive you'
He smiled 'What do you do out side of teaching?'
'I like to write, draw and hang out with my friends. How about you?'
'I like to play basketball, pool and go out with my boys. What do you write about?'
'Mostly Romance and action-comedy stories'
'Romance? Do you write it in a PG-13 story line or x-rated storyline?'
I blushed a little 'Umm little bit of both'
'Wow your probaly one of those freak in the beds kind of woman. I like it' I blushed even harder. A guy never really talked to me like this, I like it already. 'What do you do for a living?' I tried to change the subject. 'Nah negro don't try to change the subject. I'm in the military, I'm stationed here for a while'
'Define 'Awhile'' I used quotations. 'Well since I'm a captain, I can choose any place to go. The reason why I say awhile is because in the future I'm thinking about going to Hawii and station there'
'Wow, it's good that your thinking about the future'
'Maybe you can change my mind about it. If we are still together that time.' when he said that my heart skipped a beat. I can't believe his thinking about staying with me, I was already giving in but I had to stay strong.
'If we stay together. We have to have a second date to figure that out'
He chuckled 'Okay'
After dinner we went to the park, we walked around talking about our life. Defonte was mostly making jokes that made laugh. His really a good person, for some reason I can see myself with him and be happy.
'Defonte can I ask you something?'
He took a scope of his ice cream and nod. 'Are you close with Nia's mother?'
He stopped in his tracks. Even in heels I have to look up at him. 'Well we talk about Nia. When I get shipped out over seas I let her take care of Nia. Why are you asking?'
'I'm just seeing if I have competition' he grabbed my hand. "Me and Nia's mother is not together anymore. If you let me be with you, there would never be competiton. I will always put Nia and you first" I read his lips. I nod, Defonte kissed my cheek.
We looked in each other eyes for a little bit before I kissed his lips. I couldn't help myself.
Next thing I know is us going to my apartment, to have amazing sex.
