Reason

"What the hell are you doing here?" I looked at Dakota crazy as she sighed and walked in the room. I stood up from the bed.
"At ease soldier. I just came in here to check on you, I guess you found out about me and my actions." she walked closer to me.
"How did you get in here?"
"Through Nia's window. She is a sweet child, she could be my little girl you know. I would be the best step mother."

"I knew I should have never dated your crazy ass."
She rolled her eyes "And you would think that would still stop me from doing this. I had my eyes on you since I first met Ciara, I was the one that saw you first in that mall but you went to talk to her of all people. When she got pregnant, I got so jealous I wanted to be the first one to have your baby." she wiped her fake ass tears.
"That's some bull shit." I chuckled. "When I looked your way, you didn't want to spread your legs so I went to Ciara. I can admit that you was sexy as hell back then, but I didn't want a virgin that'll make me wait."

She scoffed "You're one selfish son of a bitch. I guess all niggas are the same."
"I guess all crazy bitches are the same to." I comment.
"I'm not crazy."
"Yes you our. You went all this way to get me back. You killed the only friend you had, you probably took that poor girl from her parents and now you're in here trying to get me back. That's some crazy ass shit." I spat.

"Fine. Since I'm crazy, how about I show you crazy." She pulled out a 9mm and pointed at my head. From the looks of it and the way she's holding it, the gun is fully loaded. I stood there emotionless "You think that shit will scare me. I get pointed at with bigger guns than that."

She smirked "This ain't for you. All I'm going to do it wound you, but the rest of the bullets is for that deaf bitch and maybe your daughter if she doesn't corporate."

I grew angry "Bitch do you know who you fucking talking too?" My thug side was coming into view. I looked down and saw a terrified Nia, through my eyes I told her to go downstairs and she did.
Dakota laughed "There's the Defonte I'm looking for. The guy I fell in love with." She cocked the gun. "I hope you forgive me in what I'm about to do."

I looked over her shoulder and saw Tira holding the metal bat and inching towards Dakota. "I'm sorry." she said before shooting the gun.
Tira swung the bat at her head while the bullet flew through my shoulder. I slumped down on the floor while holding my bleeding shoulder and watching Tira making sure Dakota won't wake up. Tira kicked the gun under the bed and grab a towel out of the bathroom before caring for my shoulder.

'The police is on there way' Tira said while wrapping my arm up.
'Where's baby girl?' I asked. 'In the basement, hiding.'
I nod and pull Tira in for a kiss while having my hand over her baby bump. I heard the door getting kicked down and officers running upstairs to our room. Tira pulled away and allowed the ambulance people take me to the hospital.

They arrested Dakota and carried her out the house because she was still unconscious. They put me into the truck and from the window I saw Tira carrying Nia out the house and into the car to follow me.

While at the hospital, the doctors had to stitch me up. The bullet went right through and didn't hit any major arteries so I was good. I can still work in the military but I have to do the in the office shit until my shoulder is better. My mother and Troy came through to check on me to see if I'm okay. Marcus came through to but Tira didn't talk to him. But I did have to explain to her from my point of view on how we knew each other. In the explanation I had to tell her about my not so good past and what I did before going into the military. At first Tira was shocked, but then it turned into amazement.
I would be amazed to, to see a guy like me use to running the streets. I also told her about Dakota and I past relationship and then she understood why Dakota was terrorizing us.
To tell you the truth, I had my eye out for Dakota for a long time but Ciara kept me away from her by fucking me. Dakota was a sweet girl and I wanted to wife her, but Ciara got pregnant, so instead I married her and I joined the military to get my act together.
When I came back Dakota disappeared and I found out Ciara was cheating on me, so I ended it. Dakota came back and I took that opportunity to go out with her but ended it 5 years into the relationship because she wanted me to put her first instead of Nia and I never put my baby girl last, she's my everything. All the shit I was talking about earlier was to not keep her motivated in trying to get me back.

Tira stayed over night while Ma took Nia. I patted the bed to signal Tira to lay next to me. She shook her head 'Im good on the couch'
I sucked my teeth 'You know I can't sleep without you next to me.'
She huffed and rolled her eyes before laying next me and snuggling into my chest. I kiss her forehead and wrap my arms around her.

Finally this shit is over. No more drama and people trying to kill us....

I'm thinking about ending the story in two more chapters. I have no more ideas to put in the story and I'm surprised that I didn't delete it. But y'all comments kept from me to do that so keep commenting, I would really appreciate it.
