Tira's POV
I was typing on my computer sending a email to Defonte.
'Hey babe, I miss you. Nia misses you to. I hope your safe over there and that your doing well'
He immediately replied back 'I miss you and baby girl. I'm safe and doing well. What happened during the week? Did Ciara try to take Nia?'
I typed 'Ciara didn't come near Nia. Me and nia hung out all week; we went to a wedding and to the movies and saw 'Into the Woods' we had fun.'
Few minutes later he emailed me back 'That's good. I have to go baby and thank you for the selfie, you look really sexy like always. Tell baby girl I love her'
'Okay, I'll talk to you later then' I shut down my computer and put it on the bed. I looked at my phone.
I have about 5 messages; one from Faith, one from Voera, Two from Ms. Wilson and another from my brother. I looked at my brothers message first.

Me: Supp bro, it's been a long time 😀
Troy: yeah it has. Whats been going on for the past 7 months? Do you have a sucker at home with you?
Me: well I'm a teacher for first graders and yes I have a sucker but his over seas. Do you have a girl at home?
Troy: What's this guy's name? 😡
Me: Troy please don't send your friends to mess with him 👋
Troy: I'm not, I just want to know his name and where his stationed.
Me: His name is Defonte and I'm not telling you where his stationed. When are you going to let me come over Texas?
Troy: I'm actually stationed where you are now. Im moving over there in two weeks.
Me: 😆😆😆 really!!! Omg I can't wait til your over here.
Troy: Girl you better calm down. And yes really.
Me: Gosh you have no emotions 😔
Troy: I gotta go sneaks, I'll see you in two weeks.
Me: Please stop calling me that.
Troy: Why? Your still my sneaker. I'm going to call you that every time when your boyfriend is around😈.
Me: You can stay in Texas now. I don't need you to come over here.
Troy: You know I can't be away from my ride or die.

I go to Ms. Wilson message. She texted me that she has bible study and she wants me to take Nia for the night. I agreed.
Then I went to Faith message saying that she will come over tonight. Voera said she's coming over with big news.
I went downstairs and pulled out some ice cream and four spoons. The door bell rung and I answered the door. Nia ran in and hugged my leg. "Hi Tira" Ms. Wilson gave me a hug. I waved and grabbed Nia's bag.
"I'll pick her up tomorrow at 12 noon" I nod. Ms. Wilson gave Nia and I a hug before walking to her car. Soon after Faith and Voeras car pulled up after Ms.Wilson car pulled off. 'Nia you can sit on the couch and start on the ice cream' I said. Her eyes lit up, she ran to the living room.
I looked up and saw Faith walking up the steps 'Hey girl' I said. 'Hey' we gave each other a hug. Faith walked inside and said hi to Nia.
Authors POV
Tira turn back around to look outside. Her eyes almost popped out of her head when she saw Voera holding Nia's ex hand. The same ex that she gave her virginity to and the day after he broke her heart. 'Hey girl. this is my big news' Voera put her hand up to show a big wedding ring on her left hand.
Rodger was shocked to see his ex standing in front of him. He looked up her up and down; 'Tira has changed over the years' he thought.
'It's nice to meet you sir' Tira extended her hand. Rodger shook it and quickly brung it back to his body. They just looked at each other until Voera waved her hand in front of their faces. 'Can we go inside now, it's freezing out here'
Tira moved aside and let them in. Faith and Nia was having a full blown conversation until Voera interrupted them, which made Nia hate Voera instantly.
Voera and Rodger sat on the couch between Nia and Faith. Tira walked in the living room after closing and locking the front door.
'So Voera what's the big news?' Faith asked. Faith knows who's Rodger is, she doesn't want to cause trouble in front of Nia. 'This is Rodger and I'm marrying his sister'
'Tira I didn't know girls can marry girls' Nia said, with a confused expression on her face. 'Nia can you go upstairs. You can grab the ice cream and spoon, just make sure you don't make a mess' Tira said. Nia nod and grabbed the pint of cookie&scream ice cream with a small spoon and ran upstairs to Tira's room.
'Is that your niece' Rodger asked. Before Tira can answer, Faith took the liberty to. 'No, actually that's her step daughter. She is going to marry a army man; the kind with big huge muscles and a 8 pack. Tell me Rodger, have you been breaking hearts since you been through college or it just stopped after your last girlfriend?'
'Am I missing something? Do y'all know each other?' Voera asked. 'Yes we do know each other. Voera if you was listening to Tira saying that her last boyfriend broke her heart in college, after taking her precious jewel and his name is Rodger James Williams. You would know who he is to' Faith was getting irritated because of Voera stupidity.
Tira pinched the bridge of her noise. Rodger just kept looking at the ground in embarrassment.
Voera looked at the two and made a 'o' shape with her lips. She hit Rodger upside the head and stood up. Rodger rubbed his head and looked up at Voera 'How come you didn't tell me you knew Nia?'
'There's a lot of Nia's in the world' he responded. 'I told you her full name jackass. That could of trigger a memory in your head'
'I'm sorry' he said. 'Dont be sorry to me, Say that to Tira' she pointed her finger at Tira. Rodger looked at Tira 'Rodger you don't have to say sorry. I'm over it and I moved on with my life' Tira said.
Faith was eating a spoonful of ice cream during the conversation.
'So when did Carmen ask to marry you' Tira said. Voera sat back down but next to Faith. 'This morning. We was in bed and she asked me to marry her. I was crying and she freaked out at first because she thought I was sad'
'Aww that's sweet.Now you have to settle down' Faith said. Nia ran downstairs with half empty pint of ice cream and some ice cream on her hands and mouth.
Tira giggled and took the ice cream away from Nia. Nia followed Tira in the guest bathroom to clean her face and hands. 'Sorry about your sheets' Nia said before putting her hands under the water.
Tira grabbed a damp washcloth and wipe Nia's face. After rinsing her hands, Nia dried it 'Don't worry about the sheets. Next time you would have to be downstairs eating ice cream' Tira walked her out the bathroom.
'She's so cute' Voera said. Nia didn't say anything back 'Nia what do you say?' Faith said. Nia rolled her eyes at Voera and ran upstairs. 'That little girl is feisty' Voera said. 'Sorry about that' Tira went upstairs and into her room where Nia is. Tira grabbed the remote and turned off the T.V.
Tira's P.O.V.
I turned off the T.V. Nia sat straight up, pouted and cross her arms infront of her chest. 'Little girl, what did your father say about rolling your eyes?' I tried to be strong but her face was killing me and she knows it. 'Daddy said don't roll your eyes at adults. But she's a meanie' she pouted some more. 'What did she do to you?' I soften up.
'I was talking to Auntie Faith and she cut me off'
'Sweet heart that doesn't mean that you have to roll your eyes. Ms. Voera does that sometimes with out thinking and she probably didn't mean it. I want you to go downstairs and say sorry to her'
Nia got off the bed 'Okay'
'And one more thing. Even though you don't like her, you still have to show kindness and respect. She's the adult.'
Nia nod 'Okay, I'll go and say sorry'
Nia walked infront of me to go downstairs, the whole time her head was down. She walked up to Voera 'I'm sorry Ms. Voera'
Nia looked up at me 'For?' I said. 'For rolling my eyes at you for no reason'
'It's okay sweetie' Voera said with a smile on her face. Nia walked to me and hugged my leg 'Sorry Mommy'
'It's okay, just never do it again. Go upstairs and watch T.V until I get up there'
Nia nod and ran upstairs, I sat by Faith on the couch. I looked at Rodger and he was texting on his phone the whole time. Looking at him made memories come back to my head. I use to love this man, but he broke my heart. 'We should go' Voera stood up and tapped his arm. Rodger stood up and stretched. 'I'll see you later' she gave me and Faith a hug. Rodger gave us both nods and walked out the door with Voera behind him. I got up and locked the door before going back and sitting on my brothers leather chair. 'She knew damn well who he was at first' Faith said.
'Faith, don't start' I shook my head. 'I'm just saying. God she's so pity'
'But she's our freind' I shrugged. 'No Tira, she's your friend. You know I never liked her'
'I know'
'I should go, I have a appointment in the morning' She stood up. I got up from the chair and gave her a hug. 'Be careful going down the road, I don't want my god child getting hurt'
'Okay, I'll text you when I get home' I walk her to the door. She walked out and got into her Audi. I watched her drive off before closing and locking the door.

Me and Defonte was talking over email. I was laying on my stomach with the computer infront of me. 'What you wearing?' He emailed me. 'Just a shirt...JUST a shirt'
I bite my lip. 'Oh really. Send a picture'
'No, don't they check the emails?' He immediately replied back 'Oh yeah. Nevermind then'
I chuckled 'I gotta go, sleep is taking over'
'Okay. Love you' my mouth dropped when I read what he put. my fingers danced across the key board while I was thinking what to put, but he beat me to it 'It's okay if you don't type it back'
'No. No it's just I wish I can say- well in my case say it in sign language in person.... But for now I LOVE YOU TOO' I sended the email.
'I wish I can say it in person to. When I come back I'm going to write, sign, sing and show that I love you to the whole world, that's a promise'
I giggled and blushed 'I'm hoping to it. Be safe and don't always be captian Kurk'
'Lmao. okay, tell baby girl I love her. I love you'
'Love you too' I logged out of my email.
I put my laptop on my dresser and crawled into bed.
