Scott woke up to his phone ringing, it was Stiles. He stared at it for a second, and then declined. He wasn’t ready to hear how Lydia was doing, more specifically; he wasn’t ready to hear what she has been saying. Seconds later, Stiles called again, and again he declined. He started to receive messages, which he didn’t read, until finally, after hours of Stiles trying to reach him, he finally answered.
“Hello?” he answered heavily.
“We need to talk.” Stiles said.
“Uh, I have some things for school I have to do.” Scott answered awkwardly.
“I don’t care, this is important. You need to hear this.” Stiles said again with annoyance in his voice. Scott sighed and looked around his room, trying to think of something so he won’t have to meet up with Stiles, but as he looked around he saw Allison clear as daylight. She gave a shy smile and said in a sweet voice,
“You need to go, you’ll regret it if you don’t.” And with that she was gone. Scott sat there shocked with his mouth opened.
“Okay, I’ll be at your house in a few minutes.” Scott stuttered as he started to recover from wjat he just saw.
“No, it has to be in the hospital with Lydia.” Stiles said. Great, thought Scott to himself as he put on his jacket and headed out the door. When Scott hung up, he took a moment to himself in his car and just put his head down, trying to relax. He thought about his life, and how he was so screwed up, that Allison would be disappointed if she saw him for the last month. That’s all he thought about her, his love. Scott shook it off and headed for the hospital, picking up Chinese food for his mom. He pulled up to the hospital and grabbed the food and went inside. He looked around for his mom, but didn’t find her so he went to the front desk.
“Good afternoon Mrs. Moon, do you happen to know where my mom is?” Scott asked smiling. Mrs. Moon looked up and smiled.
“Sorry Scott, I haven’t seen her in a while. I can page her if you like?” She responded.
“Oh no thank you, I just came to drop her off some food and visit Lydia, but thanks anyways.” Scott said kindly. Mrs. Moon just smiled and nodded. Scott left and headed towards Lydia’s room. Scott didn’t knock, he just barged in, expecting Lydia to be in a coma still, but he walked in and saw Stiles holding Lydia’s hand and Lydia sleeping, no tubes down her throat. He couldn’t help but smile, and Stiles looked up and smiled as well.
“Surprise,” Stiles said with a cheeky smile. Scott just went over and gave a hug to Stiles and then sat down on the other side of Lydia taking her other hand. But just as soon he grabbed her, pain starting to shoot up his arms. He jumped back a little startled.
“She’s still hurt, where?” Scott asked worried. Stiles just looked down.
“Her heart, her heart hurts Scott. She is heartbroken.” Stiles said looking back up. Scott had a confused look on his face and just stared at Stiles. “When they took the tubes out,” Stiles continued, “she just kept mumbling things about Allison. And I figured she was hurting inside and is trying to get Allison back, because that the only way to be with her is when she isn’t awake. I think Lydia is trapped in her own mind because she doesn’t want to leave her.” Stiles said. Scott head was spinning and he just nodded.
“Okay, so what do we do?” Scott asked.
“We wait. She needs to wake up which can’t be more than a few hours, I just know it.” Stiles said staring at Lydia’s pale face. Scott nodded and waited with Stiles. A few hours passed and both Stiles and Scott slept, but both woke up as they heard something fall down. It was the tray containing empty cups of pudding. Lydia was sitting up and her arm was outstretched.
“I’m sorry, it was an accident.” Lydia said. Both Stiles and Scott ran to her and hugged her. She wiggled underneath them and pulled back. “I don’t think doctors and nurses should hug their patient like that.” Shed said cautiously. Scott and Stiles eyes grew huge and a confused expression grew across their faces.
“You don’t remember us?” Stiles asked. Lydia shook her head and both Scott and Stiles threw up their hands in frustration and Stiles had tears forming in his eyes. Lydia looked at them, and then smiled.
“Of course I remember you guys, I was just joking.” She said as he bit her lip and giggled. The boys sighed in relief and hugged her again. The doctors came in when they heard the tray crash but didn’t say anything until they shared that moment. Then, they examined Lydia and were amazed on how well she has healed.
“So when can I leave?” Lydia asked with an anxious look in her face.
“I would say maybe a week to be safe, but your body is a quick healer, so it’s safe to say that you can leave as early of tomorrow if your exam is well. “ He doctor answered. Lydia sighed and nodded happily. The doctor patted her hand and left. We all sat in silence, but not and awkward silence, a happy silence.
