Derek ran to Scott's house, with Lydia and Jackson. They burst through the doors to find Stiles pacing back and forth biting his lips. Stiles looked up with huge eyes and just by the way he looked at them, they knew this was bad.
"Where the hell did he go?" Derek asked.
"I don't know, he ran towards the woods, but he took the long way. I know he's still in there Derek, but the Alpha in him is winning." Stiles said frantically. That's when he looked at Lydia and Jackson, they were holding hands, just like they used to. Stiles winced and looked away; Lydia noticed and pulled her hand away looking down. Jackson looked at Lydia and then at Stiles, but just shook his head rolling his eyes.
"What made him turn?" She said trying to take the attention away from her and Jackson.
"I don't know, he was talking and then all of a sudden he started clenching his fist and boom, there was Scott in front of me, full werewolf." Stiles said, his hands going all over the place as he spoke.
"Something triggered him, something had to trigger him. What were you guys talking about?" Derek said with annoyance. He wanted to get to Scott as fast as he could because he knows that this could turn into a disaster.
"We were talking about...I was saying how I felt left out since Jackson got here, "Stiles said glancing at Lydia, "And he started to freak out on me saying that I left Lydia first and that I shouldn't be blaming her or Jackson. That's when it happened." Stiles said with the same annoyance.
"That's it!" Lydia exclaimed. "One of the last conversations Allison and Scott had, he had said something similar to her.
Flashback
Allison stood at her locker, digging in her bag looking for her eraser. The finals were killing her and she has been going crazy preparing for them. She sighed in frustration, clenching her fist and taking deep breathes. Scott stood on the other side of the hallway, seeing her struggle. He walked over, casually, pulling out his erase.
"Here, you could use mine." Scott said awkwardly, holding out his hand. Allison looked at him and gave a tiny smile.
"Thanks." She said as she took his eraser. The spark Scott got exploded inside him. "Ugh, how are your finals?" She asked.
"Ugh, they're...they're kind of killing me actually." Scott said chuckling, smiling as he heard Allison giggle.
"Me too," Allison said, "This is probably the first time I've smiled this month." Scott's smile widened.
"Look Allison, if you ever need anything or anyone. I'm here." Scott said grabbing her hand, slowly. Allison face smile disappeared and she yanked her hand back.
"What do you mean; you are never there for me! Ever since Kira came it's like I've been invisible. You left me; no you traded me, for her!" Allison exploded, quietly not wanting to attract everyone's attention. Scott stood there shocked, then that shock turned into anger and he took a step towards her.
"Don't you ever say that again! All I've ever done was for you. I put you before anybody! I have been there this whole time; you have just been too blind to see that!" Scott shouted. "If anything, you left me." He said reaching his hand passed Allison slamming her locker shut. He stared at Allison as shock grew in her face. Scott couldn't believe it; she tried to blame him after she was the one that ruined everything. He walked off, leaving Allison wordless. He looked back at her one more time as he reached his classroom door. Allison was shaking her head, burying her face into her hands. She looked up at him, tears in her eyes. Scott looked away and screamed at himself mentally. Everything was just going wrong.
End of Flashback
"Allison came to me afterwards and told me everything, that how I know." Lydia finished talking, glancing around the room. Derek was listening intensely, processing the whole story. Stiles and Jackson nodded, knowing that would be enough to make Scott lose his cool.
"That's all it took. That's what had to make him change." Derek said after a minute silence.
"So what? We find him and change him back?" Stiles asked.
"It's not that easy." Derek said, looking at Stiles. "We have to get his anchor to bring him back. Call him back, kind of like how Scott called you when you were stuck in your own head."
"Okay, that's easy. What's his anchor?" Jackson asked. Lydia looked at Jackson with an 'are you stupid' face. "What? I have been gone for a while so excuse me if I don't know." Jackson said.
"It's Allison, Jackson," Stiles said. "His anchor has always been Allison."
"Well, that changes things." Jackson said, his blue eyes narrowing.
"Lydia," Derek said, "If we don't get to him fast enough he could be stuck like that forever. We either get Allison to remember and to talk to him, to show him that he still has hope to be happy, or we lose him forever."
"How long do we have?" Lydia asked, searching Derek's face. Derek's face darkened.
"The next full moon is in two month, after that, we can't do anything." He responded. Lydia looked around the room, trying to think. She was trying to look for a hint or anything to giver an idea.
"Lydia," Stiles broke the silence, "I need my best friend. Please, don't make me go on with my life knowing my best friend is lost somewhere and I can't help him." Stiles said, pleading in his eyes.
"Don't worry, I'll fix this. I can do this. Just give me the two month. I promise you Stiles," Lydia said as she walked up to Stiles and looked him in the eyes, "I'll get her to remember and fix this. I swear to God."
