Jackson slowed down to a stop  and panted out of breath, who knew Lydia was such a runner he thought to himself. Minutes later, Scott, Stiles, Malia, and Mr. Martin showed up panting as well.

                “Where…the…hell is she?” Malia panted.

“Where… the hell…did she learn to run like that?” Stiles said as he let out deep sigh trying to catch his breathe. Scott sat down and put his head up, breathing heavily.

“I know… how to find her…” He said. “Derek…always seems to find her.” They all nodded and walked their way to Derek’s loft. As they arrived, they found Lydia crumbled on the ground and Derek bleeding and unconscious next to her but his hand around her as if he was trying to protect her. Stiles ran to Lydia as did Jackson and Mr. Martin, meanwhile everyone else gathered around Derek. It was chaos, everyone trying to talk over, but it all went silent when Derek finally stirred.

“Lydia,” Derek mumbled. As if on call, Lydia fluttered her eyes open and started to blink them rapidly. She finally got them controlled and stared into her father’s eyes.

“The flower, where’s the flower!” Lydia shouted frantically. “Where’s the flower!”

“Lydia what are you talking about?” Scott asked. “What flower?” Scott asked again even more confused. Lydia buried her face into her hands in sobbed.

“I had it, I had the flower.” Lydia sobbed. “It was exactly as they said, yellow as the sun but dark as the moon. It was beautiful and amazing, and I had it.” Lydia explained. Then she started sobbing even harder as she remembered what had happened. “I was walking home and I saw this group of men, they were staring at me. The looks they had was frightening, it was as if they were lions and I was the prey. So I started to walk faster and they started to follow. I took off running and then out of nowhere Derek appeared and I ran into him, but I still clung onto that flower. Derek grabbed my hand and we ran to his car, where we sat for a while before taking off. We got here, and then we were talking. All of a sudden the door burst open and Derek grabbed my waist pulling me a little before I was hit, I don’t know by what, and I just heard a thud, which I now assume was Derek, but whoever did it came for the flower. That’s what they wanted, the flower.” Lydia explained through her sobs.

“Lydia it’s okay, its fine.” Malia said as she came back from Derek’s room where she and Scott carried him to.

“No! It’s not fine!” Lydia yelled. “They took the one thing that will bring my best friend back!” Lydia shouted even more until finally she screams. Her blood curdling scream that made all the werewolves flinch. And then it was over, and Lydia had finally started to breathe heavily but evenly. Jackson took that as a sign to pick her up and carry her bridal style, Stiles just glancing over and then looking away. Lydia rested her head on Jackson and drifted off to sleep quickly.

Jackson was setting Lydia next to the wounded Derek who was now wide awake and stirring around trying to get comfortable.  Derek froze as he felt her body weight being placed down. He glanced over only to see strawberry blonde hair.

“What are you doing?” Derek asked raising his eyebrows and grunting as he turned to face them.

“I’m setting Lydia down,” he said in an exaggerated obvious face. “What does it look like I’m doing?”

“I’m laying down here if you didn’t know.” Derek said.

“Look, Lydia has to rest and if you are not comfortable with her lying next to you then you can move.” Jackson said with annoyance in his voice. Derek started to chuckle.
