I took out my gold chain which held the ring to my neck. I was hoping she wouldn't tell me to try it as it wouldn't fit any of my fingers except for the thumb- my fingers were thinner than I excepted. They were a bit shorter than Beth's fingers as well. I showed her the ring and she grinned, happy that i still have it. She yawned and I noticed it was late.
"Oh crap- are you hungry?" I asked as we hadn't eaten
"No- just a bit sleepy" she yawned again. I laughed again. I wiped our tears and carried her to her bedroom
"You know i can walk right" she said looking me in the eye with one eyebrow raised up questioning me. I felt blood rush to my face and neck.
"Y-yeah but we shouldn't risk you getting hurt again" as i fastened my pace. When i laid her in her bed and pulled back to go back to my room she stopped me
"Stay with me, Kate" she said just loud enough for me to hear. I smiled and got in bed with her but as soon i laid on my side i again felt the shooting pain in my shoulder i had felt earlier.
"Ahh ow" i winced. Beth immediately sat up and held me carefully as to not hurt me again.
"When did you get hurt Kate!?" She said with a mixture of anger as well as concern in her voice. I knew that tone so well.
"I think i hurt my shoulder while breaking the door" I replied
"Dammit!!! Why do you always behave like an Amazonian Kate?! Always using force and getting hurt" I laughed at what she said. She turned on the lights and took off my t-shirt carefully. I winced again. I turned to the wound and saw that there were scratches and some dried blood
"How the hell did you not notice it!!" She asked me definitely angry now. When she realised that I wasn't wearing my t-shirt as she had took it off she blushed.
"Come on mom- it's not that big of a deal" i said jokingly. She must have decided not to argue with me and went to bathroom to wet a towel to clean the blood and get a first aid kit. As she was inside I replayed all the incidents that happened today.
