Since Kate was the one asking me to be her girlfriend i wanted to propose her first. I had added a paper to the book she was reading which said
"i loved you then,
I love you now.
And i will love you,
Forever i vow
And since the two are married now
How about we also take our vows?"
I placed the book on the nightstand and laid down near her. She came out of the shower and laid down beside me while opening the book. I heard her giggle but pretended to ignore her.
"Babe- someone just proposed me" she said giggling.
I face palmed myself at her stupidity
"And who do you think was it?" I asked while raising my eyebrow. Realisation seemed to hit her as her mouth opened in shock and tears formed in her eyes.
"Wait- w-was it yo-you?" She asked me while trying to control her tears but one dropped from her right eye
"Of course idiot- who else do you think has the guts to propose you and compete with me?" I smiled as she started jumping on the bed and soon she was on the floor while mumbling "yes". I went to her side and hugged her as she kept saying yes. I took out the rings and gave her one. We both wore our rings and kissed each other. I saw her pout a bit and flick her head.
"Why are you sulking?"I asked as a chuckled.
"I wanted to propose you first. I even finalised the rings"
"What?! Really?" I raised my voice in surprise.
"Yep... i did, i was nervous you would say no. That maybe it was too early?" She said in a small voice. I scoffed.
"Really Kate? Baby, I wouldn't say no. I've known you my entire life, it can't be too early for us. And well- a day with you feels like an hour. I'm so lucky to have you, so many days I've wished that time would just stop when I'm with you. I wouldn't ever say no to you proposing me babe" i kiss her again. I could feel her tears on my cheek. I pulled away, wiped her tears and continued.
"No matter what happens, you are, were and always will be the most perfect for me- our fate brought us together again because it was in out destiny to be together forever"
